He remained silent, clearly waiting for me to continue. I wrung my hands, attempting to hide my nervousness, but it was no use.
"Well, eh, first tell me why you want to learn Ninjutsu. It's a very complicated, yet creative art."

I frowned, contemplating his sentence. "We learn in order to fight," I said. "What kinds of Ninjutsu do you know of and how would you use it if you were battling right now?"

This is a Kunai. To basically put it, it's an obstacle that can be used in a battle in many different ways. What most people in a fight tend to do is through a kunai with explosive tags at their opponent. So use it to cut through minor obstacles and some channel an element to it to increase the kunai's power. For example, Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds Current might be channeled through the kunai to increase its cutting power and speed. Furthermore, it can simply be used to stab an opponent. In addition, there are other special kunai's, like Minato's S/T kunai for example.

Easy. Either fake the Opponent, and the kunai through his throat, or put them in a genjutsu and amputate their head off. Or, you could paralyze them with Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds Current and stab them in the heart. Or be stupid and try to stab them head on.

Nothing special really. It's good for catching opponents of guard and you can use it in combination with several katon techniques. The good thing about the shape is that unlike a kunai, the unique shape of a shuriken allows it to move in an arch shape while still aiming at the target. However, the downside is that explosive tags can't be attached to it. Shurikens and kunai's can also be reflected back to the user by using a wind jutsu.

Throwing one or two Shurikens wouldn't be too much of a problem for the opponent. However, throwing a huge wave of them wouldn't only cause confusion and force the opponent to defend, but it also gives an opening due to the opponent not focusing on you anymore. If the fails to counter one of the many shurikens, they could end up hurt.

Self-explanatory really. When you throw the smoke bomb on your desired location, smoke would rise. In a battle it can be used in several uses ways, for example, if you want to do a surprise attack, you could throw a smoke bomb at the user. If (s)he tries to use a jutsu to defend against it, it'll still create smoke xd. Another way to use it is to attache it to a kunai like Kakashi did against Pain. Other than that, its not much use. Oh, and right, it distracts the opponent and cause confusion upon them xd

It doesn't have any real effect on susano's. But it does have effect on Tsukuyomi and amaterasu as it requires the doujutsu user to actually see their target. It also does have effect on sharingan genjutsu
