Nice self-portrait

It's advisable to begin by draying a circle marking the place were the top of the head will be, then add the chin and the neck, in order not to lose proportions.

Others will begin directly with an oval instead of a circle, then draw an auxiliary line to mark up the where the hair will reach. Sorry for the simple pic, I have no scanner so I drew it with the mouse.
