Reggie woke up the next morning with a sore neck.
What the hell happened to my neck. What's that smell? And what's the sound?
Reggie then noticed that neither his wife or neighbor were downstairs anymore. Reggie then ran upstairs preparing for the worst. When Reggie made it upstairs he was estatic to see everyone was ok. Jessica was cooking breakfast, explaining the smell, while Derrick was repairing the broken window, explaining the sound.
"Good morning sleeping head." Jessica said has she gave her husband a good morning hug and kiss.
"Good morning hun. God I was scared half to death when I didn't find you next to me this morning."
Jessica giggled. "I love you too."
Reggie smiled knowing his wife was just as normal as ever even with the world gone to hell. Reggie made his way to Derrick who was putting up wooden planks to board up the windows.
"Thanks man, but why didn't you wake me up I would've handled it."
"It's cool man gives me something to do so I get Veronica off my mind."
"I'm I'm sorry about Veronica.....we'll find her though. Trust me."
"Thanks man."
"No problem and look I'm sorry if I'm getting in your personal business but the note Veronica left said she had a surprise for you, what was it?"
"It's cool man I actually wanna share the news but let's keep it between us for now I kno how Jessica can get."
"You have my word."
"Well the surprise was a sonogram."
"What!? Really? Well shit man congratulations."
"Thanks man. You know I can't wait so I know she alive I know she surviving this."
"Look man whenever all of this is done and you and Jeronica need a night I got you."
"We got you." Jessica said so unexpectedly both when jumped.
"Dammit Jess how long have you been there?" Reggie asked.
"Well I don't know long enough. Anyway are you guys hungry?" Jessica asked.
"I'm starving. Let's eat." Derrick said.
The three sat at the table, which was already prepared. In he middle was a saled bowl of scrambled eggs. To the left of that was a plate of toast with butter and Jelly next to it. To the right of the eggs was a boate of crispy bacon. On the stove was a hot pot a cheesey grits.
"You know what Regge you're extreamly smart man. Building this house with solar power and nothing else. You know you guys are probably one of the only familes who have food, water and power." Derrick said.
"Well when you're a Seal just coming back from a longs day work and all you wanna do is video chat with your wife, but an unexpected strom end those changes you learn a thing or two." Reggie explained.
"What was it le being out there? Being a Navy Seal?"
"Im sorry but that's confedtinal. I swore to the Consitituation I wouldnt give friends, foe, nor family any information about the Seals." Reggie stated.
"So not even Jess knows?" Derrick asked.
"Not even Jess."
"That's gotta kill you inside. Your husband can ask you all about work and you can tell him all about it but he can't tell you one thing."
"At first it was hard but I got use to it, I trust my husband if he says he can't talk about he can't talk about it." Jessica said.
That reminds me.....Eric.
"Thanks for breakfast babe it was good excuse me for a sec I need to go make a phone call." Reggie said as he finished his last bite of Bacon.
"Your Welcome."
Reggio went upstairs to his bedroom went under the bed and took out a locked green tool box. Reggie then went to his bottom dresser inside the back pocket of the jeans on the bottom was a key. Reggie opened the toolbox inside the toolbox was an all black cell phone, and aa 9mm HKUSP

Reggie punched a 3 digit code in and called a friend.

A 6'2 white male was trying to get in the sewer system.
"Dammit I need the code!"
"Eric honey is everything all right?" The man's wife asked.
"Yeah sweetheart I just couldn't get it open." Eric replied.
"Ok let's go I don't like being here." Eric's wife requested
"Alright I'm coming."
The phone on the mans belt started to vibrate.
Well it's about time he calls.
"Britney honey imma give it another go."
"Ok please hurry." Britney said.
"Ok."
Eric then got a good distance away from his wife so she can't hear or see his conversation
"Dammit man? Where the hell are you?" Eric asked immediately.
"Wow. No hello, no Hey Reggie it's been a while." Reggie responded sarcastically.
"Look man we ain't got time for all of that. Incase you didn't notice we have walkers running rampant in the streets."
"Walkers is that what you're calling these people?"
"C'mon man don't do this now.....wait a minute you must be with your wife a kid right now."
"Yeah I am." Reggie lied he didn't want to risk Jessica walking in on him again.
"Ok then just listen then. I'm at the old base not to far away, trying to get in the corridor for weapons."
"Ok."
"Ok? That's all you got to say? Look man me I need the code and you and I know you know it."
"How?"
"They gave it the best Seal in town, if that wasn't me it was you. So can you do me a favor and tell me the code?"
"Can't do it Eric. First of that's confidential. Second if you typed in the correct code it would be viewed as a terrorist attack and the base would self destruct."
-sigh- "Fingerprints?"
"Yeap."
"Dammit ok look me and Britney are on the way. Be ready when I get there I have a felling the way back I gonna be rough."
"I'm on it, by the way there's something you need to know."
"What is it?" Eric asked.
"James is missing, I don't know where we could've gone but well he's missing so when you get her make sure you or Britney mentioned him Jess hasn't been doing good with it lately." Reggie explained.
"I'm sorry Reggie I hope you hip guys can find him ASAP. Ill let Britney know."
"Ok thanks."
"No problem bud."
The two exchange goodbyes and hang up their phones.
"Hey Jess Eric's coming over and were gonna go down to the base and pick up some guns." Reggie said as he came back downstairs.
"Wh wh what? I thought we were gonna go look for James."
"We are but right now we need to defend ourselves from these people."
"So you'll put guns over your son?"
Reggie won't answer her.
"Answer me!"
Reggie still remained silent. Jessica started to cry.
"You're cold hearted Reggie Johnson!"
"No no Im look Eric doesn't know about James so I decided to go for the guns but at the same time I'll be looking for James." he lied.
Jessica continued to cry she saw threw his lie.
"Look honey I'm sorry."
"No don't touch me." Jessica said as she walked away.
Reggie stayed upstairs. He knew Jessica didn't want to see him right now.
15 Minutes later
"What's up man!" Eric sad as he walked in Reggie's room.
"Not much man, the wife's upsets with me because of the plan." Reggie explained.
"Oh so that's what's wrong with her well bro dont eat yourself up how bout we look for James as we go for the guns!"
"That's the plan the Jess knows but she knew I was lying at the time."
"No you weren't lets go amd get us some guns." Eric said as he winked.
