One of the main themes other than Loneliness and bonds is ideals so I was thinking... who's ideals do you agree with the most strongly, there's many to choose from and it would be interesting to hear what everyone thinks. As some of the messages can be enforced in real life....

I think I follow most closely with Kakashi's, he's honest and understands the hardships of life but still believes that their is positivity in the world... He also takes his role as a shinobi very seriously.

What about you?

It would seem like obviously people would go more with Naruto's ideals. To save the world you have to break the cycle of hate and revenge.

Naruto's ideals are the kind which can inspire young people, which is exactly why it's the message Kishimoto is using as the core ideal in his manga; follow your dreams and never give up.

Lord Sasuke's ideals inspired me to write a book on it. Look out for it on the Amazon Kindle.

But isn't there a sense of false belief? Especially with so many characters with negative ideals?

Why would there be a sense of false belief? Every character who became evil in the manga has been shown to have taken the wrong path or give up too easily - the whole point of Naruto is that he'll never give up on his ninja way, that's why he's the main character, and that's why Kishimoto will have him be victorious in the end.

But are they the most realistic ideals? I'm not sure if they are...

Very true... I guess they are good but I still go with Kakashi's.

Some of the dreams in naruto are too stupid, a dream world (obito and madara), a world where people are able to understand each other; a world of peace (naruto, nagato, jiraiya and minato). All of these are impossible and cannot be achieved. The only reasonable thing is orochimaru, he just wants to know who he is.

Madara, Sasuke, and Nagato. Peace is only an illusion, nothing more. Down with nationalistic ideals and the concept of country. Never have agreed with the 'will of fire' - a sham to further Konoha's power by any underhanded means necessary - and never will.

But didn't Madara want peace as an illusion?

This is what I believe, that's why I think Kakashi's is the best he understands the difficulty and hardship of trying to attain peace.
