Hyyuga and the Sharigan

The one page kakashi discussed the origins of the hyuuga were never confirmed he said "They say the sharingan derived from the byakugan" key words to look out for were "They say" which brings to light that not all people back this origin story and the fact he did not say it in a matter of fact tone means its not a fact.Add that up with the fact kishi never brings it up again at any point in the story you can come to the conclusion the hyuuga have nothing to do with the main lineage of the sage.It was just some small talk thrown in there during the early days of the manga that hold no relevancy to the story at hand.

Hyuuga means, towards the sun.
The Juubi sharingan, are about the moon.
Tbh, I think the hyuuga are still gonna have their moment.

Well I my thought on it is that the two dojutsu formed separately from the Elder son's eyes. A more direct blood line passed down the Sharingan where the less direct and branching relations formed the Byakugan. You could say that the Sharingan gained power, where the Byakugan gained insight?! Anyways the Sharingan isn't a mutation of the Byakugan even though Kakashi once suggested it.

he was blowing smoke and so was Kishi, Sharingan came from Rinnegan and Byakugan probably came from the Mangekyou or The younger sons eyes. Its hard to say but it all originates from the rinnegan but Bykugan is not stronger than the Sharingan or MS

My thinking exactly the dojustu share some ancestry down the line the seeing how you do not need there dna to get the rinengan and the fact that they have never been brought up since leads me to be believe they have no relevancy towards the sage and the story at hand
