I dont follow popularity. Where i live, Manga is not a very big thing. Neither is Naruto for that matter. I read it because i personally like it.I wont comment on OP,I havent read it much.
The main reason for those threads is because people skip through the manga pages instead of reading it properly.
Naruto used to have depth and complexity. Thats why i used to love it. Arcs like the Chuunin Exam Arc are why i even read Naruto right now. I come back in the hopes of seeing the genius of Masashi Kishimoto. But it is being transformed into a kid manga now.
They had depth in them,
The story of Naruto was like a jigsaw puzzle,it would unfold itself as each new chapter came out.
Not the same now.
Compare a part 1 arc with a part 2 arc. You will see what i mean.

While I admit I liked part 1 more than part 2 because Orochimaru was the main villain back then...A lot of stuff from part 2 was hinted all the way in part 1. The puzzle still connects and so far I have not found a big plothole that I can't explain away. When you pay close attention you can follow some set rules Kishimoto did for his universe. This is why I was able to deduce Tobi's identity (NOT from his looks, or name. That's stupid), Madara being an old man when he died, and the even more obvious Nagato's eyes being Madara's own. Next on the list will be Orochimaru breaking Reaper Death Seal to get his soul arms back, and Sasuke gaining a chance to talk to the liberated Hokages. Believe it.

No suggestions, cuz it's beautiful as it already is. Although....it might need some praise about the greatest MS jutsu that I've ever seen, Kamui. Other than that, it's awesome.
