Hello everyone!

I'm incredibly bored and curious, so I decided to ask a question that has probably been asked several times before. I tried searching for it though and I found nothing (although that just may be because my computer is acting strangely)

So, which is the better series? Naruto or Avatar? (Let's include both TLA and TLK for simplicity)

I'd have to say Avatar at this point, honestly. I feel that too much of Naruto's original charm has been lost in Shippuden, what with the over-focus on the Uchiha, Senju, eye powers and so on.

That and the annoying sexism. - Avatar also deals much more with character development which I always feel nice (with the exception of Mako, who was never given a personality to begin with. Just like Aveline in Dragon Age 2.)

Anyway, what do you think?

I found Avatar to be more enjoyable. The story was incredibly deep and almost all of the characters are so likeable. Zuko, Sokka, Uncle Iro...I might be an Avatar fanboy. I enjoyed that show sooo much. One set of reruns I never got tired of.

Yeah I think the characters are the biggest reason as to why I enjoy Avatar more...I mean, there are no characters I just can't stand, unlike in Naruto where there are plenty of them, like Sasuke and Madara for instance.

The music in Naruto is much better though.

Naruto has been stretched too far.
LoK and aTLA began as animated series, so they had a limit to how much plot and ideas and twists they could fit in. So we feel more satisfied and not trolled by the end. They've also learned to limit the amount of main characters they want to include, rather than bring in a whole empire and try to show more than the 2d element.
I'm a bigger fan of Avatar than Naruto. But there are some arcs of Naruto that I enjoy more than some parts of Avatar.XD
Favourite arc include the Chuunin Exams, Forest of Death, Hidan and Kakuzu Arc and any time Kisame is on screen.

I get where you're coming from and I agree (although I think everything in TLK was wrapped up far too quickly and far too easily...oh well, since a lot of people complained about that I guess they'll make it harder for Korra in the next season).

And yes, the Chunin Exams was wonderfully well done. It was absolutely brilliant the way he introduced new characters and the upcoming invasion. Too bad we can't have such nice things anymore. It has dragged on for too long.

Although I love the fact that Obito is Tobi. He just has to make it work now. So far I'm very unimpressed with the flashbacks.

Yeah I'll admit, LoK's plot was rushed towards the end. Unlike Naruto that has an on-going plot. Nickelodeon originally only gave the Avatar creators permission for only 12 episodes...the so the crew had to fit so much in one season. And sadly that affected the great plot potential. Book 2 seems exciting with all the spoilers revealed about the Dark Spirit and Korra's Uncle.
