Did obito already use the RIKUDO NO JUTSU?

In the pic below the black pole was connected to the gedo mazo...

My question is did obito already use the rikudou no jutsu because the black pole from the plant transfer to gedo mazo?
or the black pole did not transfer to gedo mazo? or the black pole was originally connected to gedo mazo and not to the plant?
