The Transformation Jutsu should be way more helpful...

The key word is "transformation"

So basically your body transforms.

My question is what if for example you were in a battle and someone broke your leg, could you not just use a transformation and be ok? As long as the jutsu was active your broken leg shouldn't factor in to whoever you've transformed in to's design.

If it can completely change your body it makes sense that it should be able to temporarily heal you.

Thoughts?

It only changes the appearance, not the actual body. But i guess theoretically you're right.

No, that was what was so significant about Pain's transformation justu. The transofrmation justu is more or less an illusion.

See, that's what i thought at first... but then i was thinking about naruto and gamabunta's combined transformation... it gave them the body of a fox; fangs, claws and everything included...

But it's more than appearance someone small can turn in to someone big, or even in to an animal so it must be a physical change or it wouldn't really work.
It doesn't make an awful lot of sense really.

Otherwise i would just say it's basically an illusion... because a person transforming into a person doesn't really add any useful features that would be useable outside of an illusion, but when a frog can turn into a fox... there's some potential there.

Exactly :D

It doesn't even seem to be that hard a technique to use, and pretty much every ninja can do it.
I doubt you could get massive physical benefits like turning in to the 3rd Raikage and being almost invincible, but you should definitely be able to null damage done to you until you dispel the technique or someone else does.

Also when Naruto transformed in to a Rasen-Shuriken he was basically capable of flight, pretty handy way to get around if you ask me.
