kushina comes from a harsh background as her family/clan was killed, she was saved from her loneliness by the man she fell in love with.
sakura on the other is a pathetic pampered little girl who fell in love with the man who tried to kill her, says a lot does it not?

Stands and cry? Who saved twice Sasuke's life? Who saved Naruto's life in Forest of Death? Who was there next to him when he passed through hard moments? Who saved Hinata's life? Who conducted an medical operation by her own in Pein Arc when Shizune was dead? Who accepted Naruto for what he is when he was in tail beast mode?
And, yes, Kushina was saved from loneliness by the man that she loves, but she looked down on Minato at first the same way Sakura did with Naruto.

Fell in love with Sasuke when Sasuke wasn't yet that bad guy. Her feelings changed in time as Kishimoto states himself. And since when being in love with someone says a bad thing about a person? Yes, he tried to kill her. But why hate Sakura for just loving him and love Sasuke for trying to kill her. What logic is that? Doesn't seem wrong to you?

when did she even once save sasuke's life?, she did not save naruto's life she only stood by him while he was unconscious and she did not protect him or sasuke, lee did. all she did was get a haircut.
hinata's life was not in danger, this was said in the manga, she only needed medical attention. hinata risked her life to save her friend while sakura stood screaming "NARUTO" like a damsel in distress. and when was sakura EVER there for naruto? and sakura is STILL in love with sasuke EVEN after he tried to kill her. have a look.

sry its just not the same, when ur actually watching the episode the moments just don't have the same effect. minato seemed more interested in saving kushina while naruto seemed more interested in stopping sasuke.
Lol, If he wanted to stop sasuke he would kicked him in the water.

Personally, I find Kushina to be alot like Sakura in ways. Both were picked on as children (Sakura for her forehead, Kushina for her hair) they both have an anger temperament (Kushina hitting Naruto in the head when he met her, much as Sakura does to Naruto when he is acting "foolish") and they both have a color that is quite close to one another (The whole Red and Pink thing) There was also a card I saw (STILL debating if it is legit...) with Kushina and Sakura both posing holding their arms proudly, like a "girl power" symbol, with Naruto and Minato at the bottom looking at one another very goofy like.
Personally, I like both Hinata and Sakura evenly. Though, how most people say Hinata is alot like Kushina always gets me personally :/ Hinata is quiet, and would never have an attitude like how Kushina did when she was younger. Looking back since the beginning of the series, if I had to say if Hinata was like ANYONE of Naruto's family, it would have to be Minato as he was a very quiet and sweet child (Though Minato did talk a little more then Hianta, I was just comparing them both in small ways)
That is just my personal feelings on the matter though.

Sakura is a short tempered as is Kushina. They are both competitive and both lash out on the closest victim when their duse is cut short by either an insulting action or comments.
Kushina and Sakura are two completely different characters with similar backgrounds. I have seen some similarities with Kushina and Hinata but not personallity wise.
Both Kushina and Sakura were bullied. Kushina was picked on for her red hair and 'tomato face' and Sakura with her 'large forehead'. Hinata was not bullied, despite what happend in the anime, we did not see such scenes in the manga. We don't know if Hinata was bullied or not as it hasn't said in the manga, if it has I haven't seen it.
Alot of people say that Hinata is a lot like Kushina because she risked her life for Naruto. Remember Kushina NEVER risked her life for Minato. So that blows that reason clean out of the water :/

I fully agree with you x3 Alot of people are biased depending on who they like, and don't really base what they know on facts as a whole. They never look at both ends of the string but instead, just the side they feel will prove them to have their character better. Most fans of either Sakura or Hinata will be at each others throats half the time and provide things that aren't even relevant to the question xD I say the same thing to myself x3 There are so much clues and hints on how close they are to one another lol It is a shame people "hate" on Sakura moreso for reasons that they found her "annoying" and it is a real shame that once she leaves that scar on some fans, they completely stick with their opinions half the time about her. I find her to be WAY more useful now, and that is a HUGE improvement for someone who comes from nobody parents lol I blame Kishi for his lack of character development in the first season for her x3

Just because they hate Sakura, they don't wanna see NaruSaku happening but not one, not a SINGLE one has ever understood Sakura and her way of being.
And you know what's fun? That even if they hate that, Sakura is the one Naruto loves. Yes, he might be encouraging Hinata and that's great for him, it means a lot for someone like her and I like that, but that doesn't mean the fact that they are going to end-up together.
Same goes for NaruSaku, though.
Even though they have their well established fans, this might not happen. And might not happen because of the other fan service and studios Pierrot. They favor Hinata a lot, and I'm ok by that I just want that things go as Kishi wanted them to go and do things by his own not let himself influenced by others. Because this might happen.
But nonetheless, even if this finishes in another way, the similarities between Kushina and Sakura are huge, no matter what people say and how much they hate.
