Namikaze

Hey guys,
[insert PLS don't flame, because it randomly popped up on my mind]

I just wondered why we know like nothing about the Namikaze-Clan.
A few moments ago, I read (NOT SURE IF THIS INFORMATION IS RIGHT!) that they sould have something to do with the Uchiha (one of them apparently founded the village or something - I think this is bs, but who knows), because some information about them is supposed to be kept in the Uchiha-Book (or at least in their hands) as far as I understood.

Also (just a vague "prediction" on my side thus on the information above), Minato kinda looks like the SO6P from behind + we never saw the actual haircolour from him and in this picture

(upper right panel) it even looks like his hair are blond or have at least a light colour (yeah could be also white because he's old; the face of the SO6P in the upper left panel reminds me kinda of Jirayia.. xP).

So altough this is just a random speculation and what I just read could be totally made up:
1) Naruto could have some slight Uchiha whatever in his gene pool (implying that the thing with the Uchiha is right), supporting the theory that he will be the next "SO6P", having Senju (from Uzumaki, his mother) and Uchiha (from Namikaze, his father) DNA
OR:
2) the Namikaze clan is not of any usage to the story (altough I think it would be interesting to know something about them AND it would be cool if Minato would become a "hidden key" in the storyline, I know he was awesome and very useful for what we saw from him, but maybe you understand what I mean ^^)

Oh and btw, I think we just got a hint on the upper left panel that the Sage actually had whiskers on his face just like Naruto has now. If you look closely, just beside his nose, there's a stroke. ^_~

You never heard about the Namikaze clan because they don't exist. Minato is not member of a clan, at least as we know, he is just someone with a normal surname.

If Namikaze was a clan i think Naruto's name would be Naruto Namikaze just to keep the clan's "name" and blood alive

the only reason Naruto has his mothers clans name of Uzumaki is because the Third Hokage ordered that he would have no knowlage of his relationship to the 4th hokage whos IS a Namikaze

otherwise his name Would be Naruto Namikaze

May be wrinkles in his face, picture proves nothing.. Perhaps anime will show us..

I do, however, think it is bs about Minato having any relations to the sage or the uchiha. It would be a shame if every top shinobi had to be related to either. It's not like Konoha has been superior to the other great villages during war time.. Minato is probably just a wonder kid like we know can appear anytime. The Sarutobi clan is though better known than the namikaze, but here we also see hiruzen who is a genius for instance, whereas Asuma wasn't really like him at all. Konohamaru may prove to be a genius with time, but we can't really tell yet.

didnt see the picture, but i know what your saying! it could certainly mean something that they havent talked about Minato's lineage, especially with Kushina's being important. If it was unimportant, i feel they would have just said so at this point. I mean, they only thing we knew about Sakura's parents were that they were shopkeepers and thats all that was revealed and they arent important to the storyline.

I dont think hes related to the uchiha, but i do kinda like the whole Tsunade is Minato's possible mother thing. If you look at the last chapter, Nagato is descended directly from the Senju...the only other person we know of directly descended would be Tsunade so i wonder if that plays any particular importance.....but anyways i dont think hes an uchiha but i do think we will learn something pretty cool about his abilities or name or something.
