This is a two part prediction first Naruto will power-up and gain a new technique and second he will solo Tobi.
First as we saw in a chapter 601 Naruto is not on the battlefield with Tobi and Madara. Now some say that he was there just he was under Bee but I believe that Madara's eyes are good enough to see him there if he was and Madara does say this one's a clone as well.
Now I do believe that Naruto knows he is not strong enough currently to defeat Madara or Tobi so he is off perfecting a new jutsu. I believe that now that Naruto and Kurama are friends his is going to be able to go into a perfect toad sage mode that he can keep active indefinitely. Since in order to absorb nature chakra you must remain absolutely still and we saw that Jaraiya was able to do this by merging with ma and pa then I believe Naruto will be able to achieve this now by using Kurama to absorb the nature chakra and pass it along to him. This will allow him to not be chained to the five minute rule of sage mode. Also since Kurama is sending him the chakra then he would also be able to take in Kurama's chakra as well giving him the perfect sage/kyubi mode (SKM).
Obviously if Naruto is able to achieve this it would give all of his current abilities an incredible boost. It would make his body almost indestructible since alone in either SM or KM Naruto is incredibly tough and to combine the two would make it epic. He would also see then have the ability to use not only the nature chakra around his physical body as he did in the pein fight but he would also be able to use it around his chakra arms that he has access to in KM.
Now the most important upgrade he would get from combining these two modes would be in his sensing abilities. As we know when Naruto is in SM he can use the nature chakra around him to sense people for miles around and when he is in KM he has the ability to sense good and evil intentions. Once he combines the two he would have a massive increase to his sensing ability and be able to pinpoint anyone no matter where in the Naruto world they are. This is critical to him perfecting his new jutsu.
Now to his new jutsu Naruto will not only learn but perfect the FTG jutsu. He will need FTG to battle Tobi. With his new sensing enhancements he gets from the SKM he would be able to teleport to any location without the need of the seals that Minato used to guide his transports. This would allow Naruto to be able to strike Tobi instantly without needing to place a seal on him or teleport to a flying kunai. It would effectively neutralize Tobi's intangibility since at any moment he would be able to hit him. It is even possible that he would be able to travel to Tobi's alternate dimension since he should be able to sense it as nature chakra flows everywhere.
So here is why I think Naruto will be the one to solo Tobi:
So if we follow Naruto's fights in each one he either shows off a new ability or increase to one of his powers.
His first major fight when he faced Haku and he thought he watched Sasuke die he unlocked the power of the fox cloak for the first time and used that to defeat Haku and save everyone (since Sakura would have not stood a chance against Haku and the potential of Haku and Zabuza might have been too much for Kakashi).
Second major fight was against Gaara when Gaara was defeating Sasuke and had Sakura in a position where she would be easily killed. He used his frog summons to defeat Gaara and save everyone since a rampaging tailed beasts would have very possibly overrun the village at that point.
Third major fight was against Kakuzu when he was battling for retribution for Asuma. He used his new rasenshuriken to defeat Kakuzu which was his own original jutsu (yes it was derived from the rasengan but the rasenshuriken is his jutsu). Based on the way the fight was progressing if he had failed it was very likely Kakuzu would have defeated everyone there.
So as you can see the progression so far he has used the fox to defeat an enemy, he used a summons to defeat an enemy, and he used his own jutsu to defeat an enemy. Now we get into the real foreshadowing.
His next major fight was against pein in which he showed us how he was starting to put together the three ways he won his previous fights. He used Kurama's chakra to break himself out of the stakes on the ground when Hinata was in trouble and to break out of the meteor that was created around him. He used frog summons to help him defeat the animal summons that pein had as well as with frog song genjutsu and other techniques. He used his rasenshuriken to take out some of the pein's. And he showed us a new power in sage mode itself. However the most important piece of foreshadowing in the fight was when he took out the final pein and Kishi gave us why he used the rasengan to do it since it was the jutsu that Jaraiya had taught him.
So now lets look at why I think it will be Naruto using FTG to solo Tobi. As we all now Tobi is the one who ripped Kurama from Kushina during Naruto's birth. It was technically Kurama that killed Minato and Kushina but it was because Tobi released Kurama that he was able to go crazy and attack the village. During that battle we saw Minato was not only able to evade Tobi's S/T jutsu but he was able to counter it and strike a devastating blow to Tobi. Since throughout the story anytime a character has threatened or killed someone Naruto cares about Naruto has been the one who defeated them in a one on one battle. Pein killed Jaraiya, Naruto defeated Pein with Jaraiya's jutsu (yes technically it was Minato's since he developed it but Jaraiya taught it to Naruto so as far as Naruto is concerned it was Jaraiya's jutsu), so logically Naruto will need to defeat Tobi with Minato's jutsu which would be FTG and probably a rasengan thrown in there for good measure. If you look back at the history and see the track record of Naruto this is the only possible outcome.
