We clearly see that this is the genjutsu which is the one that's supposed to be cast from the moon on everyone. But that genjutsu was stated earlier to be Tsukyomi.

As you can see, Madara didn't use Tsukyomi, and considering the fact that he didn't have his eyes but just some random Sharingan, he probably even could not use it at all.


So... is the genjutsu he used Tsukyomi? If yes, how can he cast it without using (or probably even having) MS? If no, why is it supposed the be the genjutsu to be used in Moon Eye plan, when it was clearly stated Infinite Tsukyomi will be used instead?

Tsukyomi was hyped about controlling every aspect of genjutsu dreamland.
This would be pointless if a simple Sharingan Genjutsu could accomplish that as well.

Obito can use Kamui in 3-Tomoe Sharingan.
Madara can use Tsukuyomi in 3-Tomoe Sharingan.

The reason is Senju DNA.

he even explained on that page you posted, that while he is connected to the mazo he can create anything within that genjutsu.

Tsukiyomi is meant to control the time you spend in a genjutsu, which may be different from the real time spent in it. Madara's jutsu was just a genjutsu, probably improved by gedo mazo.

As you said madara's true eyes were implanted in nagato therefore he didnt have access to his ms abilities and he himself said the sharingan he has now is just a random sharingan. A random sharingan cannot have tsukuymi for obvious reasons, unless kishi is trying to say that madara has awakened the ms again which has granted him tsukuyomi. Which to be is trolling because im not sure if you can awakened the ms more than once, but also that sharingan should possible have a different technique if its an ms, unless coincidently that sharingan, if it was to turn into ms would grant the user tsukuyomi.

Anyway the logical answer is that its a sharingan genjutsu and that would make sense. Nothing surprising. Itachi was able to show sasuke was happened to shisui, but also izuna and madara so its possible to drag your opponent into your genjutsu via the 3 tomoe sharingan.

However if the manga later says that its tsukuyomi i wouldnt be surprised because thats the way the manga is going

You can create any illusion in a genjutsu, so Madara is not more special than kakashi when he used it on obito.... The reason we don't see this sort of genjutsu: the target would know right away that it is genjutsu thus breaking it will be easy.. Now stop pulling idiotic Tsukyomi out at every genjutsu, it's a jutsu that has been used less than 10 times, and only by 2 people....

I'm not sure if Itachi's MS was shown, but he clearly used it. He said himself he would use Mangekyo Sharingan and afterwards Kisame said that using "these eyes", hinting at MS, is dangerous for Itachi.

So yeah, that was MS for 99.9% lol

ah yeah you're right seems like a error to me that madara can use this tech with only 3 tomoe. and also i just started reading and realizing about obito using Kamui with 3 tomoe. wtf is going on lol
