People forget what they read so soon..that amaterasu got nagato because he thought itachi was going to attack naruto..he didn't know itachi has escaped edo tensei's grip..now for the topic..there is a reason deva was used in akatsuki meetings.the guy(though a not actually living) was boss!.a quick massive shinrai tensei(the one that broke boss toad's bones) would fling all the akatsuki members meters away if a mutiny was initiated..and the likes of deidara and itachi who are not tanks will feel the brunt of it with shattered bones..now we know genjutsu aint gonna work on deva,the guy feels no pain.animal path said "I feel no pain"(when it was restricted with a pain induced genjutsu by ibiki and his anbus..now will a living itachi start of with susanoo? That will be suicide because deva will outlast him if he does that..its funny that if itachi tries a close commbat taijutsu and gets hit with a well timed shinrai tensei like the one on the toads,he is done for,as simple as that..
1.Taijutsu-deva went toe to toe with 6tails kyubi and said"is that all you got?" Beat that..
2.Speed-both are equally fast..deva OUTRAN a 6tailed kyubi..that's some crazy speed feat.
3.Genjutsu-unless its tayuya's flute or frogsong which paralyses your body(not psyche because deva is just a re-animated corpse)..itachi won't get him in one
4.Ninjutsu-amaterasu can be sensed and countered with shinrai tensei or even earth technique(deva used it against kyubi's katon)..itachi's susanoo is OP agreed,but can it withstand CT? Remember that even 6tailed kyubi's fireballs couldn't stop the orb alone..and deva could even make a bigger CT(it was stated by nagat himself)..totsuka sword pierces whoever it stabs and puts his soul into a dreamlike world..deva has no soul..its a walking corpse...deva path pound for pound outpowers itachi,truth be told..

Wow, so much Itachi love it's crazy. But I guess people are being a little biased. We never saw Itachi (except for when he was in Edo) in a good fighting condition because of his sickness, so I don't think we can really judge. But hypothetically if it was to come down to it, Itachi has no answer for Chibaku Tensei and Shinra. It's just too much

Itachi then can use his magical sealing weapon and boom instant win...Nagato can easily disrupt the chakra flow and break him out..
then how come when Jirayia put 3 of the pains into a genjutsu Nagato didnt instantly/easily break them out of it..?because he couldnt.so simple.

LMAO, how can anyone take that seriously when you call Touska a magical sealing weapon? Fact is Jirayia used sound genjutsu for a reason. I'm pretty sure Tsykuyomi will have 0 effect since he's already dead

Just think objectively. Itachi has very strong genjutsu in his arsenal, he is able to cast it even his a finger. Deva's weakness is genjutsu. I believe Deva Pain is unable to avoid and break his genjutsu. Chibaku tensei requires some time, which is not plentiful against Itachi. The combination of Itachi's speed and genjutsu can give him the upperhand.

Itachi vs 6 paths of Pain is a different story. The other paths can buy time to cast Chibaku tensei. Tsukoyomi is not an option because there are 6 bodies. I think Itachi alone cant deal with CT (in the manga Naruto and Bee helped him).

Not possible. Chibaku Tensei is a special attack. It pulls and traps the enemy. If Itachi could repel it, he would have done it.

The reason why he was durable because he was a dead body, dead feels no pain or something...
Chibaku Tensei or whatever are used by Nagato....So hell NO...

Itachi needed help to destroy a miniature version of Chibaku Tensei, I doubt he could hold his own against the larger version.

I agree as I said before...but CT requires some time. Itachi will not stand and watch him. Deva is weak against genjutsu. Itachi can trap him.

The advantage of Pain was the shared vision and great teamwork, which dont exist in the particular 1v1 fight. How can he counter Tsukoyomi?

If I read correctly you're saying that Nagato gets affected if Deva path is in genjutsu? They don't share senses only vision genjutsu doesn't work like that, if it did Nagato would have been caught in Jiriya's genjutsu but that wasn't the case as he was able to kill Jiriya with the other paths. It's like Itachi using genjtus on a security camera, does the guy watching the film get caught? Most likely not.

Yes Nagato can disrupt deva's chakra flow, if you didn't notice he controls the paths by running his chakra through the chakra rods in them.

As for your Jiriya question, going by the flow of their conversation he did it to catch Jiriya off gaurd. He said to Jiriya don't let your gaurd down, I cba to get the pages up but read through that conversation and you'll get what I mean.

You make it sound like Deva is a living being, the only reason why it's moving because of the rods. Like I said, he's dead, how will Tsykuyomi have an effect on a dead body?
