true i agree, deva can beat itachi but it will not be easy. if itachi gets him with genjutsu then itachi wins. shinra tensei deals with amaterasu, chibaku tensei deals with susanoo but he has no counter to tsukuyomi so if itachi gets him in that then its all over for deva. and also itachi is a lot smarter.

Agreed. Deva almost took out the kyuubi alone. Im pretty sure if the six tailed kyuubi did to itachi what he did to deva path, itachi wouldve been dead. He couldnt handle. Ppl overrate itachi way too much. He is not god. And Deva has the power of gravity!! He could crush him alone with that

Shinra tensei stops Amaterasu and Pein knows about his genjutsu and he can sense it so it is easily avoidable, so no it's simple logic that deva has the upper hand.

How convenient that pain counters everything with perfect timing in you rebuttals. We're not discussing scenarios. You asked for a counter and I gave one. How it would play out is up to kishi. And there's nothing deva could do about genjutsu of itachis caliber. Its funny how you forgetting deva paths 5second interval before he use his techs again. agreed in many things but itachi would lose from CT most of the time. And I don't think itachi is ALOT smarter lol

He could turn into birds and fly at him capture him in a genjutsu like with naruto when he implanted shisuis eye

Izanami is not even useful in battle and was only able to be used cause he was edo! Itachi said that himself go read it. And it works on kabuto cause he doesn't know who he is. Deva is a dead body being controlled by Nagato, it will not work on him.

All of his techs take prep time. Rendering them ineffective against someone as smart as itachi. He can be as strong as you want him to be but that's just more time he has to rest after his move is over. Lol the only fight itachi lost was the one he wanted to lose. And that's real.

Dude he can use CT and its over, you can't ignore that lol and no none of his techniques take prep time except for CT which he still uses pretty quick.

Yeah, see now this is an even battle. Nagato vs Itachi is laughable. Deva vs Itachi is arguable. I'd probably say Deva just because 1. genjutsu doesn't work on him, 2. amaterasu can be repelled and the guys dead anyway, 3. he can pull Itachi out of susano'o (maybe), and 4. Itachi can't stop CT by himself, no matter what. But it's still very close, like I said-- arguable.

Yep yep, pretty much this. I'll also add, Tendo already blew the Gamatrio out of the village with a casual Shinra Tensei, nothing stopping him from doing the same to Itachi.
