Hebi Sasuke was NOT stronger than Yamato

Many people say that Hebi Sasuke was stronger than Yamato, but it's not true.

They base their opinion on this scene:

While it's true that Sasuke stabbed Yamato with Kusanagi, there are several things most people oversee:

1) Yamato was stabbed because, as Sasuke said, Kusanagi couldn't be blocked. Yamato had no knowledge about it.

2) It's not like this stab roflstomped Yamato and he couldn't do anything about it, either :

3) Sasuke immediately increased his distance once Yamato started offensive.

4) The most important thing, Yamato didn't want to harm Sasuke. It's a manga fact, which is proved right here:

Yeah, but even his non-full combat scale (when he wasn't fighting all out) was enough to make Sasuke increase his distance.
He's definitely not weaker than Hebi Sasuke, he's either as strong or (what's more probable IMO) stronger.

Kirin requires hell lot of preparations. It took very long even when Itachi used Amaterasu, which sped the process up a LOT, now imagine doing Kirin without Amaterasu. Yamato would have kicked Sasuke's butt three times all over. xd

There's a bit of speculation as to whether Sasuke was about to use Kirin. The sky wasn't overcast and he hadn't used any fire techniques to create storm conditions. Admittedly Orochimaru saying "no need to use *that* jutsu" is quite a suggestion to Kirin.

If sauce attempted to use Kirin then either it won't work or it will be a pathetically weak. But Sasuke at the time especially with CM2 would have owned Yamato, I don't think mokuton can suppress the curse mark. Anyway Yamato was probably equal to early shippuden base Sasuke.

*sigh* He can use Kirin whenever he wants to, rewatch his fight with Itachi, he had no chakra left so he resorted to raw lighting, with enough chakra he can use Kirin without preparing it.

This was his only actual use of Kirin, so we cannot say he normally can do it on his own. Both the manga and databook states Kirin is a technique which the user control over EXISTING lightning. Sasuke being able to use it on his own is pure speculation.

Sasuke came right up next to Naruto and could have killed him if he wanted to, rather than simply put his hand on his shoulder and give him some pep talk first, giving Sai the chance to save him. Even Yamato didn't see Sasuke come up next to Naruto. Sasuke pretty much destroys Yamato in everything, taijutsu, ninjutsu, genjutsu, and even kenjutsu. he has also shown more feats of being smarter and intellectual in battle too.

He said about himself, that Sasuke was stronger than him. I don't remember him mentioning the whole team.

You guys forget Yamato wasn't fighting all out as well. And once he did ONE offensive jutsu, Sasuke freaked out and immediately increased his distance.

Takos thinks that part 1 Kakashi can beat Hebi Sasuke. Sasuke managed to give a hard time to all four in Yamato's group. This wasn't even Hebi Sasuke as Sasuke never even used the cursed mark. He later on gained Orochimaru's powers and as a result became even stronger.

Anyway Sasuke forced Itachi to resort to susanoo and had Deidara beat. How does Yamato even compare. Not trying to underrate him but he shouldn't be compared to kage level shinobis. Although he is greater than part 1 Kakashi, which is certainly true.

You can't be serious? Sasuke could've killed the whole team if Orochimaru had not interfered. All of his abilities set up is better than Yamato, speed, Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, Genjutsu...No, yamatao is not even close to Hebe Sasuke.
