Location: Grass field where Gaara fought Kimmimaro
Knowledge: Kisame knows about Gaaras sand, Gaara knows about Kisames sword Samahada
Intent: to kill

Who takes this?

Both of them are known to have an enormous amount of chakra, and have the ability to change the whole battle field.

Kisame should win this with high difficulty. It would be an intense battle though. Doesn't Gaara use chakra to control sand, wouldn't samehada cause Gaara's control of sand to be disrupted?

Gaara could fly in the air to avoid Kisame's waterdome but that makes him susceptible to being knocked out of the sky with a water shark bullet. Still avoiding all sorts of sand attacks will prove to be difficulty. If Gaara can somehow disarm Kisame by grabbing samehada with his sand, I believe he should win this but disarming a master swordsman with super human strength is not going to be easy to say the least.

If Kisame fuses with samehada, his speed and reflexes will skyrocket as well as gaining sensory abilities. Those will allow Kisame to avoid Gaara's sand. In a water dome, Kisame is very fast while the sand will be quite slow so I believe he would take this if Gaara decides to fight inside a water dome.

@ Bold - that deff is a possibility, if it can disrupt Gaara's sand, then Kisame has this with high diff at the most.

The main reason why Kisame would win is soley because water>sand, it would literially make Garra's sand useless.

Mind explaining why?

@ Bold - Even in the desert?

The scans you posted in your OP already explain why. It's obvious Kisame's on a completely different tier, he stomps hard

If im not mistaken, Gaara used wet sand against Madara

It was such a miniscule amount it makes no difference. If it was a giant ocean or water dome? Different story brah.

I supposed you are right. I don't think it will be a completely hard stomp however.

I think Kisame would win mid diff, as gaara control's sand with his chakra and samehada steal's it,
without samehada i think gaara takes it :D not too say gaara doesn't have a chance he'd just likely loose imo

Gaara uses chakra to control the sand but Gaara is also known to be able to control all sand as well.

The difference being that the sand he uses his chakra to control is he uses to protect himself mainly.
The sand he controls with his chakra is also stronger and is quicker than average sand that he controls. Gaara is also known to have a fighting style that is based on capture and crush.

Kisame fused with Samaheda is great for fighting Gaara
Kisame can counter the capture step.
Kisame while fused with Sameheda and inside the Water Dome, takes on features and abilities of Sameheda that allow him to casually avoid and counter Gaara's attacks while shaving through Gaara's defense. To explain Kisame with the Sameheda fused with him gains the abilities to , by simple contact and . While Kisame is in the water Dome and fused with Sameheda he becomes Shark like and becomes faster underwater. So fast that he began catching up to Verison 2 Killer B.

How will this be affect against Gaara?Gaara while Gaara is capable of manipulating sand that is wet it is mention that the Sand becomes much heavy. With Gaara's Sand being heavier it causes it's attacks to slow down. So using the Sand underwater would be slow. This along with Sand without chakra being slower and Kisame's movements being increased he could avoid all attacks with ease. If Gaara uses the Sand with Charkra he may be able to capture Kisame, but even if this was possible which it barely is, Kisame being able to absorb Charkra on contact would absorb the chakra inside the sand and be capable of using the spikes that he can produce on his body to shred the weake sand off his body. While in pursuit of Gaara, Gaara using his Chakra sand to defend himself, would be useless because Kisame on Contact would absorb the Chakra and Shred through it easily. Gaara's sand would be to slow to attack and being made out of chakra would not be able to defend seeing as Kisame on contact would absorb and shred through it. Gaara's non chakra sand is to slow to defend him in time or attack quick enough underwater while being heavy and kisame having his speed boosted.
Not a full argument but I got bored with this topic, cause their isn't enough to explain in Gaara's favor in my opinion.

+rep for the effort.
But yeah i agree. Kisames water dome plays a big part in Gaaras defeat. I guess i should of restricted it in my OP to make the match up more interesting.

I wouldn't restrict simply because Gaara would probably beat Kisame Mid difficulty without Sameheda. The water dome is pretty useless without Sameheda to help Kisame take advantage of it.
