Now, tell me all you know about Lightning release, it's weaknesses, strengths, what it can be combined with and whatever else you know about it. Please be as descriptive as you can. :3

Lightning is one of the main 5 elements. It is very detructive and dangerous. It is weak against wind and stronger when faced with earth. It can be combined with water to amplify its power. It can also be used to improve the sharpness of weapons and it can be conducted or imbued into weapons.
The known users of Lightning are: (off the top of my head so I might forget some.)
Sasuke
Kakashi
A
3rd Raikage
Darui
Killer Bee
Kakuzu

But just to be more detailed and because I already have this written down from my other Lightning training:
A-rank Lightning = S-rank Earth.
A-rank Lightning > A-rank Earth and it'd continue towards the opponent at a weakened rank of B.
So for an Earth jutsu to cancel out a Lightning jutsu, it must be one rank higher.
As for weakness:
A-rank Wind = S-rank Lightning.
A-rank Wind > A-rank Lightning.
Lightning is not strong nor weak against Water and Fire, and so, using lightning wouldn't be a valid way of defending against a Fire or water jutsu, since it'd go straight through it. (and the water would get electrocuted, doing you more damage)
Of course, this doesn't mean Lightning can't be used in a combination with both Fire and Water.
Can you tell me why it'd be useful to use Lightning along side Fire? Or how it'd be used alongside fire?

Lightning, is not strong or weak against fire. I don't think you can use a lightning technique in conjunction with fire as fire isn't tangible. You could potentially use a fire style technique to cover the lightning style techniques right. Then the opponent wouldn't see either as fire and lightning are both bright.

President, you were partly right about using the fire style to cover the lightning technique. So basically, you can use a fire jutsu and behind the fire, you'd release a lightning jutsu. Due to the fire your opponent won't see the lightning coming and since Fire is weak to water, they'd most likely use Water to defend and Lightning isn't weak or strong to water but it can electrify it, so you can attempt to catch your opponent off guard like this.
Alright, now we'll start properly.
*Makes a small Lightning bolt*
Now, meditate around the lightning and feel it's energy and brute strength, concentrate on it and try to call out your own lightning chakra and create your own small bolt.
* I manipulate my chakra and meditate. I try to concentrate the chakra into Lightning bolt. I feel its strength and its urge to break free. But I manage to control it and maintain a small bolt of lightning in my palm.*
I sit down and empty my mind, the only thing I visualize is lightning. I picture it's raw power, it's amazing strength. I begin to picture lightning all over my body. It's a stranges sensation, but I let it wash over me, soon I can feel the lightning chakra all over my body. I then begin to focus it into the palm of my hand. Soon, a small spark of lightning is in my palm.

Ok, now release it as a quick bolt of lightning.
After you've done that, I want you to manipulate your lightning chakra further and channel it into your palms, once you've done that, slam your hand down onto the ground and release the chakra, once you've released it into the ground, manipulate it so that it travels into the area beneath my feet and shocks my clone mildly
Straight after doing that, don't hesitate and and use that same chakra to cover your body. With this you'll have your body covered with an electric field, and with that electric field covering your body, run at my clone and punch/kick him however you like. (Describe this as if it was a freeform fight)

I then start a series of small punches, all while it is being zapped from the lightning over my body.-

Good job you two.
Now, concentrate your lightning chakra once again, but gather it all at one point (fist, foot, your choice), making a compressed ball of lightning. Once you've done that, I want you to once again run at my clone and deal a blow to his body whilst releasing that compressed lightning orb making it so that it explodes outwards and damages my clone.
After doing that, I want you to quickly send another quick bolt of lightning at my clone who would be blown back due to the explosion caused by the first jutsu and the quick bolt which you release after it.

-I again start to feel the lightning chakra all over my body. I then focus the lightning into my right fist. I then run to your clone and punch it in the face. The lightning chakra then explodes against your clone, then I focus it into my palm again and slam my palm into the ground. Creating an explosion caused by both the second and third hit.-

I compress my Lightning chakra into an orb and concentrate it into the end of my elbow. I run at your clone and bring my arm up pointing my elbow out at the clone. As my elbow makes contact with the clone I release the compressed orb of electricity and it is blown back by the impact.
I then charge a small bolt of Lightning in my hand and send it after the clone while the clone is still in the air.

Now for the next jutsu, just do what I asked you earlier (the shooting out bolts of lightning from your hand) but I want you to gather a larger amount of chakra and release it as bolts of lightning, so that the jutsu does more damage. You can use this jutsu to simply to shock an opponent or to send a powerful stream of lightning which is capable of ripping through solid rock.
We'll do this as if we're in a battle, so I want you first send a powerful surge of lightning which rips through my first attack, then once you've done that, I want you to create an orb of Lightning on your hand (like earlier) but instead of smashing it into me, I want you to throw it, so that it can reach a further distance.
Let's give this a go.

*Both clones quickly slam their hand down on to the ground and makes the surrounding rocks rise up and be sent flying towards you guys, as a B-ranked Earth jutsu.. the clones then begins to run in an arc.* (Throw the orb of lightning once you see them running)
Both of you should be spaced out so you have space to do this, without getting in each others way. U_U
-Ok, I do exactly as before. This time though I focus more chakra into my hands. As the earth is coming towards me, I fire the lightning and it rips through the stone. Next, I focus more lightning into my hands. This time I throw it, and it hits your clone.-
