can you control your nightmares

when you are in a dream can you control certain events or do you have no control when that event is happening

for instance lets say orohcimaru had a dream of sasuke going to his bed and fighting orochimaru for control of his body and sasuke beats him but orochimaru cannot change what is happening in the dream and just watches what happens.

You can control your dreams, but only though actually training... Your brain is extremely activate during your REM sleep though so more than likely it would be an difficult task to be become aware during all of said activity...

Sometimes. After reading up on it and not letting it go to my head, it happens naturally. I had a dream I jumped off the twin towers and into a big fluffy cloud (don't ask how). Then I woke up and said wtf.

Sometimes, but it's hard. I had a nightmare about my brother torturing people and killing them; he was also about to do so to me. I might hate my bro on several levels, but he's not that kind of person at all. The only way I could solve the problem was to wake up. Afterwards I was really thrown off and had trouble going back to sleep. The dream itself messed up half my day because I had this weird feeling for a while. That's just one example of course...I usually have bad dreams, but it's rare for them to be that bad, though it happens from time to time.

Sometimes there's nothing that can be done. U_U

Lucid dreaming, ahhh. Actually, when you can do this, there are no nightmares, cause you control everything. Look online, there's a lot of stuff on it. Never tried it myself.

The trick is to drink plenty of water before you go to sleep so early in the morning during your Rem sleep you will need to pee and in the brief moment before waking up you will be able to control your dream , it may seems brief from my point of view but from yours it can last LONG , i once had that and i dreamt a whole week , but when i woke up i realized only 5 minutes have past

of course you can control your dreams, you need a lot of practice like me. if i want to dream a nightmare tonight all i need to do is imagine/focus my mind seeing people becoming zombies eating everyone like in resident evil. it sounds stupid but i foremost can control all of my dreams. in other words I'm not a dead sleeper like other persons or you.

I can't control my nightmares. The best I can do is wake myself up and go do something until I forget what it was about. I've had that whole lucid dream thing before, but I can never remember what they're about.
