Well it is called gate theory in Psychology so i think it might be based off this since it is stunningly simmilar
There are some differences:

- There is only one gate and it cannot be open at will. You cannot learn it by any means possible.
- There are not any levels to it.
- It is more of a study about pain relief and understanding pain.

This theory explains about a pain-modulating system in which a neural gate present in the spinal cord can open and close thereby modulating the perception of pain.

However, if you mean something different than me (as it seems so, but I´m unable to find it), I would like to read about it. This one I know about is "Gate control theory (of pain) by Melzack and Wall. Care to provide a link? :)

Ah, ok then. I still think it is still impossible to open them and it is something slightly different, but who am I to judge, right?

However, if you manage to grab a link somewhere, send me a PM. Thank you :)

its true you cant open them conciously they often get opened in times of great stress thats where the stories of women lifting cars that were crushing their husbands come from but i think kishi tried to describe what would happen if you could open them conciously

Sure, but as I get it, that´s your brain shutting other functions (such as the control of digestion) and improving your strength. I don´t see any gates in this one :) Your muscles will get torn apart and you will be marinated in andrenaline, that´s for sure..

Also, the name of this woman is Angela Cavallo :)

its just devoting more of your brain power to motor function and muscle controll it could be considered a type of mental gate but that im not 100percent sure about that im going to ask my professor for some websites next time i have psych
