This guy's got it. Also I don't think it was Nagato/Yahiko situation. More like Rin had gone south on Konoha and Kakashi played the mission as always.
But again the spy thing... why would Rin act like this, she says Ka...kashi after taking the hit... makes no sense.

ALSO... what's the use of putting the spoiler tag if you're just gonna put the spoiler in the title ?!?!?

I'm still going with the idea that Madara put Obito under genjutsu to bring him back to him and make him willing to go on with the Moon's Eye plan with him. I don't see Kakashi purposefully killing his friend and I believe he would have good through hell and high water just to grant Obito's final wish to protect her. That was my original idea and I am sticking with it. If I am wrong I am wrong, but we won't find out until the next manga.

Pertaining to Obito's statement that Kakashi LET Rin die, and not blaming Kakashi directly for killing Rin.

That put a question mark on Kakashi to why Obito did not blame Kakashi for killing Rin, and Obito just stated that Kakashi let Rin die.

Depends entirely on the context of how she died.
Say for example these Ninja were able to use genjutsu, and disguised themselves as Rin and started attacking Kakashi, Kakashi may have killed the wrong Rin by accident, thus his carelessness resulting in her death.

okay, now this has been talked about in many threads since yesterday but, i dont think this was noticed, so bare with me if it has been said already.

as you can see the clearing of the black boxes revealing in three panels, rin.

some people may have thought, as i had, that it was the eye slowly showing the events, but what if it was actually what kakashi was seeing.

now people may say, "kakashi did it on purpose, you can see it on his face", but think about it, kakashi has just killed his friend, its not as if he thought no-one would die, thats the risk of being in a war, he just felt that there was no point crying out "what the hell" and go on blaming the mist ninja, because he knew he should have known better.......


well, what do you think.

I think that kishi is exaggerating it to the point where obito has got a misunderstanding and soon real rin will come and say obito I love you and slap him.Then they will defeat Madara together end of story.

Agreed, much more. People like to make these conspiracies about Madara being behind every event, forcing Obito to do his bidding but I for one think Madara can't even do it. He's strapped to
the mazo. Sharingan is no ****ing magic, it can't work miles away. And even if it could, I think Madara wants Obito to realize himself.

But still, if she was a spy, why would Kakashi feel he failed to protect Rin when he made the decision to kill her?

i agree, rin was most probably controlled to the point where she could not be helped causing kakashi to forcefully restrain her, as for minato-sensei, he was most probably in the stages, or at the stage of becoming hokage

i don't think it was a recording playing in obito's head but a kind of shared vision like rinnegan, sounds strange but thats what i infer from the above things ^

Yeah, pretty much this is what I believe as well.
Though I also thought that it was a Zetsu clone that had killed her, and Obito only thought it was a weird vision.
