I think Kakashi did it with a reason.Before this mission,Minato told Kakashi(without Rin knowing)that he mustn't let the enemy gather any information about Konoha.So here we go,seeing that Rin could get captured and was a good source of information,Kakashi had no choice but to kill her.He thaught that protecting Konoha was more important than Rin,of course it was a painfull decision because he was crying.

Kakashi was like Kisame? Impossible.

Ever since Obito "died", he didn't put as much emphasis on the mission as before; he adopted Obito's life style.

***********'s translation 'experimental bodies from the hidden mist' convinces me that Kakashi was tricked. Plus, Zetsu seemed sincere. Since when does he lie?

Kishi's trying to setup a Darth Vader scenario, which probably isn't the case (would be pretty cliche). Obito said Kakashi let Rin die, not that he killed Rin.

Kakashi being forced to kill Rin (as in the case of Nagato) may also be a possibility.

If Kakashi realy did kill Rin,wouldn't the proper statement be "YOU KILLED RIN" ?

You're forgetting, Kakashi has the Sharingan, he can distinguish chakra by color, so I think he KNEW it was Rin.

Pertaining to Obito's statement that Kakashi LET Rin die, and not blaming Kakashi directly for killing Rin.

That put a question mark on Kakashi to why Obito did not blame Kakashi for killing Rin, and Obito just stated that Kakashi let Rin die.

Nonetheless, one thing is for sure: Kakashi killed Rin on purpose.

This guy's got it. Also I don't think it was Nagato/Yahiko situation. More like Rin had gone south on Konoha and Kakashi played the mission as always.
But again the spy thing... why would Rin act like this, she says Ka...kashi after taking the hit... makes no sense.

I'm still going with the idea that Madara put Obito under genjutsu to bring him back to him and make him willing to go on with the Moon's Eye plan with him. I don't see Kakashi purposefully killing his friend and I believe he would have good through hell and high water just to grant Obito's final wish to protect her. That was my original idea and I am sticking with it. If I am wrong I am wrong, but we won't find out until the next manga.

This is what I don't understand(unless it is a HUGE translation error)

Why would obito say earlier that kakashi LET rin die when we just clearly see Kakashi pretty much just killed Rin(don't give me it's a clone, Kakashi is clearly crying)


And obito saw it..



I know I'm just gonna have to wait for more chapters. Just confused on that part.
