I want to share this situation that we filipinos are encountering
So please share your thoughts about it

So the Philippine Government made this law that is cybercrime law
Its a law that takes away our freedom of speech
And if you are caught you will be sent to jail for 6-12years, for what expressing your feeling with the use of internet
Here's the best part Downloading games , Watching anime, reading manga, torrents and streaming are under that law..
We can understand if they just want to stop child pornography, Cyber bullying. But they went to far

I know the law is stupid so the ones who approved the law should feel stupid..
This things that im saying can get me to jail..but i dont care...

your thoughts about this law...

even a teenager can be sent to jail(im 16)

Sounds like a real crappy law.
Most of the time, they're not practical enough to actually work. You probably hear one or two people going to jail for breaking it, but in reality, there's more important things to worry about than prosecuting someone who said bad things on the Internet. xd

Sounds like a real crappy law.

Freedom of speech is something we should all have, end of story. However, even in the US (the land that is supposed to be free), freedom of speech has been removed. For example: homosexuals can say what they want about heterosexuals, but not the other way around. Evidence of this, Chick Fil A's recent scandal. That's just the only thing that comes to mind right now, but there are others.

Freedom of speech has been getting tricky lately. I don't wanna assert too much on the subject. The problem I have with laws like this one is that they are largely impractical and never accomplish much besides waste federal dollars.

yes they want us to be original but the one who implemented that law doesn't even have an originality at all! all he did was to copy those speech and after he was bullied on the internet because of it he then gives us this bullsh*t law!!!
