guy has missed some pretty tough battle like the battles against pain, kabuto and deidara at turtle island. who else agrees that guy would've a bad*** in those battles

I don't think Kabuto vs Gai is a good match up, seems really boring same with Deidara and Pain.

Gai couldve taken out the preta path since he doesnt have any moves he can absorb. Gai is a pretty lucky dude. He always leaves at the right time before danger strikes

Kishi wanted Naruto to be the hero. If team Guy would have been there the spot light would not be all on Naruto. I think Guy is bad matchups for pain because he only use taijutsu and the speed and power of the 6-7 gate would be too much to handle. Guy would no doubt use the 8th gate to save the village in a last resort move.
