What Makes Naruto Stand Out

In your opinion what is it about Naruto that makes it stand out above other animes? There are a whole bunch of other animes that don't bring the same hype as Naruto. What makes an anime popular? The isn't a thread about bashing other animes, i am genuinely interested in finding this out.
