How did Sasori turn himself into a Puppet?

I did a earlier thread about how Sasori made his puppets and the answer was that he removed the organs, then preserved the body overnight to prevent decomposition then he adds the heart thing so he can keep their KKG chakra and puts the hidden weapons inside. But if he does all of this to create "Human puppets". How did he turn himself into a puppet with all these steps to create a human puppet. Did he have someone help him do that or has it not been stated?

My guess is Orochimaru. Since there were comrades back then. Orochimaru might have figure something out. Sasori said he did some good work with Orochimaru. And maybe something happen along the way that got Sasori mad and want to kill him. So Sasori made the parts for his new body and stuck his soul into it.
