did nagato know about madara's true plan?!!

did madara tell nagato about infinite tsukuyomi project? if so why didn't nagato tell naruto about it before his death? even konan didn't seem to know about that. if not, and what nagato told to naruto during the distraction of konoha is the plan he really knows, what's the use of "reviving madara" tobi spoke of when he fought konan? i can't find any reason for that. was nagato that stupid ?

In fact his whole plan involved "showing the world pain" which is basically his ideology about experiencing pain and knowing peace bla bla, which is totally different to the genjutsu plan....

exactly, but i'm making this thread to find out one thing: the reason of reviving madara in nagato's plan, and i can't really find any reason except being stupid
