Did the old Madara lie?

I have been questioning myself for two months now. Did he really find only ONE Sharingan to implant for him?
I think that he implanted himself two eyes during the time he was implanting his own eyes in Nagato. Why? Because if he first implanted the, lets say, right eye in Nagato, he must have implanted himself a Sharingan in the empty place, so he can see after he takes his left eye(because if he didnt implant an eye on himself, he couldnt finish the operation). If he really found only one Sharingan, he must have implanted Nagatos eye, so the ”slot” doesnt remain empty, even if he hasnt got any ocular powers in that eye.
I think he gave his eye to Obito, and took the crushed eye. Kishi almost puts some details such these with a reason.

How did you react when Madara was shown without an eye?

We already know characters can do things blind, as Izuna fought in wars without eyes. So you don't have to suspend your disbelief a lot to imagine madara implanting them blind.

This exaplins why Obito doesnt get blind because of the use of MS.
And btw, why didnt Sasuke get Itachis design of MS?

I don't remember the chapter, but the guy is right. Somewhere along the line Obito told sasuke that his beloved little brother died in the battlefield even after giving up his eyes. Of course he acted as Madara. Probably the chapter after Itachis death..
