Vanitas wears a black and red organic-looking bodysuit. He wears a silver helmet covered with dark glass, hiding his face from view. He possesses golden-yellow eyes, jet-black hair, paler skin and a muscular build. He also stands at 6 "3". Vanitas's appearance often gains him attention whenever he is traveling in public. He was bullied aas a child because of his eye colour, the children for whatever reason saw it as being "feminine". He was also very short at a young age with a body a lot scrawnier than those around him. That is why he now where's the body suit. He bulked up after running away and spending years training and now believes that only those he deems fit shall see his true body.

Vanitas is a very laid back guy. He is above average intellect but can be incredibly lazy at times, especially when it comes to work. The only time he isn't lazy is when he is training. Despite his laid backness, he can be incredibly mature if the situation deemed fit. One would think that he would be mature during fights but it's quite the contrary, he is goofy in a fight and can be seen laughing on more than one occasion. Even in near death experiences, he won't mind cracking a joke here and there. He is also very apathetic when it comes to serious matters etc. For this reason, he is hard to surprise. Even giving him the most devastating news wouldn't bring out many emotions. Despite the apathy, Vanitas is a very honourable person, he understands the way of life, fighting and will try to avoid humiliating his opponent no matter who he is, unless he feels that the humiliation is necessary. He has a strong heart and would give up his life to protect his Nakama. To top it off, Vanitas is very absent minded, often forgetting little things or events moments after they occur. This absent mindedness however is just a ruse put on by him to deceive his allies and enemies alike. It's all so that he may get the element of surprise if he would ever have to fight those around him. He doesn't care to much about his village's affairs however and will try to avoid wars or disputes involving it. His alliance resides with those that he deems honourable and or fit, and not a single entity such as a country.

History: Vanitas had a very protective and concealed childhood. His mother was a relative to the Raikage so they were the closest thing to royalty. Throughout their lives they lived following strict rules in order to preserve and further enhance their reputations. Vanitas's parents were very arrogant and condescending, often looking down on those lower than them and viewing them as scum or even bugs at some points. When Edward was six, he was diagnosed with a severe, incurable and unknown disease that effected his heart and basically made it impossible to fight or become a ninja because the adrenaline would kill him. This further depressed him. Before this disease had shown up, he wasn't allowed to play with most other children because all of his friends were of "lower class". He was also forbidden to have as much fun as them because his parents would keep him metaphorically locked up inside his room 24/7 so that he could study and train under strict conditions and supervision. This is the main reason why he is seen as a "genius" by friends and foe alike. Whilst out shopping with his parents around the age of 8, he had gotten lost and started to wonder. He had accidently discovered the home of a hermit who was once a renown medical ninja. This Ninja had cured his disease and opened up new opportunities in his life. He continued to live with his parents until the age of 14 when he decided to run away. He succeeded and continued living his life as a pilgrim, going wherever fate took him and training to become stronger. Because of Vanitas's depressing childhood, his main goal is to become the Raikage and change the social standards seen by everyone.
