I liked Mars very much as well. Why? because at the beginning of the series she's all that bad girl who treats Usagi kinda bitchy up to a certain point but when it comes to serious business, she's there to sacrifice herself for her.
She's just a tough girl that doesn't like to show her emotions often but when you need her, she's the first one who would jump for sacrificial deeds.
