Should I start Hunter X Hunter?

I want to start a new series. My favorite youtube (uberhikari check him out) said that it's the best shounen anime at the current moment. Can you guys also tell me what days it comes out and such, I would really appreciate it. And just a give a short no spoiler passage about what it's about. Thanks.

The manga of Hunter X Hunter has been on break for quite some time now. There's 340 chapters. There's like 45 episodes to the new anime, and there's a old anime which has X amount of episodes. Yes HxH is worthit. o.o

u didnt like the greed island rac..are u kidding me..its one of the best arc..yes u should read it..its one of the best..

The manga is on Hiatus, and the anime has ended. There's the old anime, and there's a remake of it. I suggest you watch the older version. There's also an OVA, called Greed Island. This series is awesome, one of my favorites. It's definitely worth a try.

Your favorite youtuber probably hasn't read anything past HxH, Dragon Ball, Naruto and Bleach. If you like below average mangas like Bleach and Nardo you can try it out. It's better than the two I mentioned but it is still awful.

My personal advice - don't waste your time on it. Try One Piece and Toriko if you are looking for long-running battle type shonen manga. Those two are currently the best serialized manga in Shonen Jump Weekly.
