Every filler is worth it. Makes this war better. This one may not be action or what we all want, Kakashi vs Swordsmen, but it adds more to the "This is a War' feel.

I mean, I had a hypothesis that this episode would end with konohamaru ending the episode with rasengan but...i was half kidding...wow..what's so good about rasengan??? and when the guy stabbed konohamaru, konohamaru was immediately bandaged up by that girl like she was his *****. xD Plus...omg..this filler was so sexist...

The purpose is so that Kishi has breathing room in the magna isn't it. Be glad there's filler arcs that have some, no matter how little, development to the story. It could be worse. Remember DBZ where a fight lasted 5-10 episodes? Imagine Team Asuma fighting Asuma for 3-4 episodes *cringes*

There have definitely been worse, I personally thought it was nice to see the Third make a little comeback and that final rasengan at the end but yeah, that giant kicking a rasengan was a little too much.
