Earth is one of the 5 basic elements. In real life earth is a planet, it is the planet we all live on. There are many forms of earth, soil, mud, or regular rock. In naruto eaarth branches off into many other nature affinities such as lava release or wood release. Earth is strong against water because eartth chakra is denser then water and it can absorb water. Earth is weak against lightning because the lightning can travel through and easily break it up. Earth is neutral to fire and wind. Earth release is most common to Iwagakure. A few ninjas that use earth release are Akatsuchi, onoki, and deidara.

what element works well with earth

Depending on what your looking for. A lot of elements work well with earth, fire and earth form tar or lava depending on what techniques are used together. Water and earth will form mud which you will learn to do throughout this training. Wind and earth just create flying rocks and chunks of earth, they don't really combine o-o" As for earth and lightning, they don't work at all.

(Doton No Jutsu) - Earth Release Technique
Rank: D
Type: Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Descripton: Creates small pillars of earth, small tools, and small shields of earth

For this technique I'd like you to focus your chakra and make it extremely hard and rough. Then manipulate it to your feet and form small pillars of earth and make them rise below your feet to launch you up then whilst in air manipulate your earth chakra to small tools whilst in the air then throw them at the dummies on the earth. As a result of this the ground begins to tremble. I then proceed to manipulate this chakra in the ground to raise me into the air. In which i jump off of, while in the air i manipulate the earth around me to make small yet dense rods of earth in which i propell at the dummies extremly accuratly. Thus knocking the, over

Alright welll done. Now create shields out of the earth using the same method and tell me what and how this technique is useful. ^^

* i begin to build up a good amount of earth chakra within me. Once i feel the earth chakra currculating throughout my body i manipulate the surrounding earth around me to create a shield out of hard dense earth.

This technique is useful because it'd be able to block certain attacks up to a certain rank.

* i begin to build up a good amount of earth chakra within me. Once i feel the earth chakra currculating throughout my body i manipulate the surrounding earth around me to create a shield out of hard dense earth.

This technique is useful because it'd be able to block certain attacks up to a certain rank.

Alright, dont forget you can use the earth pillars to launch you out of the way of certain incoming attacks.

Description: This technique allows the user to take a small chunk of rock and turn it into the shape of a staff. The user can then use it as a melee weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy at their opponent. A variation of this technique allows the user to create several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.

For this technique focus your earth chakra like you did last time and this time instead of making a simple kunai I'd like you to manipulate it to form into a full length staff. Then throw it at the dummy's chest. Once you did that try creating more then one at the same time and throwing them in quick succession.

*I start to build up dense earth chakra within myself again. Once i feel build up enough i begin to focus said chakra on the earth surrounding me. As the earth rises around me i then begin to manipulate the earth into a thin yet solid staff. Once the staff is formed and compacted i hurl the staff at the dummy's chest. Puncturing its chest and continuing on its path. After seeing the first dummy destroyed. I quickly make 4 more staffs, in turn i throw then in rapid succesion putting multiple holes in the dummy's chest.
