You're all forgetting what FTG essentially is... It's just a summoning jutsu in which Minato summons his body over to another location that he has marked with the summoning seal. As we have all learned from Jiraiya when he taught Naruto, summoning creatures, even if it may be small, requires a lot of chakra. In a real battle, Minato uses FTG quite often, meaning, every time he summons himself, he uses up a lot of chakra.

Kakashi can summon those dogs, but think, how often do you see him actually summon them? And when he does, how often is it that he summons them IN battle? As far as I remember, he only summoned them in battle twice, once for Zabuza and once for Pein. The reasoning is because he cannot prolong a battle after he summons them due to the amount of chakra they need to be summoned and for the fact that Kakashi already stated he has a very poor chakra reserve compared to that of Minato who had a huge amount of chakra. Throw in the fact Kakashi has to use the sharingan too means he'll be out of chakra within minutes. As we've seen in Tobi vs Minato, you can't rely on just a few minutes against a powerful enemy.

Simply being, whether Minato tried to teach Kakashi or not, I'm sure Kakashi tried to learn it anyways and realised he's incapable of performing FTG to it's full potential. Who knows, maybe Kakashi actually can perform FTG, but like I said, due to the amount of chakra required, it may be a trump card for him.
Nice!!!!

Kakashi probably lacked the skill to master it at the time that Minato died. Remember that Minato could only teach it to Genma's squad because there were three of them working together to use it. Probably if Rin and Obito didn't die he would have taught it to his Squad instead.

maybe kishi will throw it in this battle with Obito and Madara and show a flash back of him learning it and about the Kunai, he probably has it on him or something and maybe he'll put it out showing obito to try and get through to him

It's because Minato is the only one who can do the FTG alone, his bodyguards can do it if they were together, so i think he could teach the FTG to Kakashi and Obito and Rin, but Obito and Rin died, and Kakashi was young when he became gonin, and after Rin died and Obito despaired, the team of Minato Divided before he could teach Kakashi the jutsu.

Plot reasons, I believe.

Madara (perhaps the manga's author exercising some self-critique) hinted at how odd it was for Tsunade not to know Hashirama's techniques. If you think about it, it's actually rather weird that you have all this uber-powerful ninja with all this uber-haxxed abilities, and none of them get passed down to the next generation.

Plot related reasons. The sole purpose of giving Genma's squad FTG was to move Mei from one battlefied to another and gather the five Kage together.
None of these guys can use it properly, so it is not due to their awesome skill. Think about it, the technique would be much more useful at the hands of masters like his teacher or student, but Kishimoto needed to move Mei, so that "Hokage elite bodyguards" thing just happened.

He taught he to Genma and Raido...why didn't he teach it to his fav student?? I'm sure Kakashi would mastered it very easily...why kishi..why?? and where is the Kunai Minato gave him??
How can he learn it to kakashi?
Minato his guards needed to be with 3 people to use the technique.

Kakashi would probably need teammembers to do it as well.
So there would be no point in learning it to kakashi, unless he moves around with 2 others, that can do it as well.

Minato always considered Kakashi to be a jonin level ninja....he always took him seriously whenever they fought (though minato would beat him very easily)...i see absolutely no solid reason why he didn't learn it, he is one of the few gifted shinobis of the leaf. Perhaps it was because of Kakashi's cocky attitude. If Minato had taught him the FTG at a young age, he would have treated Rin and Obito as trash and never would have valued teamwork.

It's not that he didn't mastered rasengan, he did master it. The problem is that he wasn't able to put his element raiton in it, and it's the reason why he created chidori

Much like Tsunade & Sakura with their powerful fisting technique.

Would be interesting too see a Genjutsu fist attack... (such as claimed that Sakura has the capability too use Genjutsu and all.) Tho I think it's more of PREVENTING being hit by Genjutsu- or more accurately: more resistant...
