[Theory] How Obito awakened his MS

Okay we all know to awaken the Mangekyou sharingan, one must experience the loss of someone close. In today's chapter we see Obito is headed to where Rin and Kakashi are fighting the Mist ninjas. I believe this is when Rin dies which then awakens Obitos MS. What do you think?

Yes he does but i believe he hadn't known how to use it until experiencing it first hand from Itachi.

Perhaps but I think Obito will gain an attachment to Madara or one of the Zetsu's and then something tragic happens to them.
