Say what you want about Obito but(even though I think Obito also was not afraid of Itachi and could have killed him) People need to stop saying that Nagato was afraid of Itachi and that is why he did not attack konoha. Truth is if Obito and Pein were sooo afraid of Itachi and wanted him dead so bad they would have teamed up on him to kill him. And Pein alone is too much or Itachi, even if you disagree you are a absolute moron if you think he could have solod both at the same time.
Also nagato never knew the truth about the uchiha massacre, meaning he thought Itachi was a legit member of akatsuki. He had no clue of Itachis true motives therefore that makes it impossible for Pein to have been even the slit bit concerned if he were to attack konaha. Cause he never even knew about Obito and Itachis pact.
Also Pein ordered Itachi to go to konaha and capture Naruto in arc 1, so saying Pein was afraid to attack konaha cause he was afraid of Itachi is pretty dumb considering he ordered Itachi himself to capture Naruto in the village.
And for all of you that are about to say that Nagato waited for Itachi to die before he attacked Konaha and that proves that he was afraid, First of all...
Pein did have orders from OBITO to attack konaha WHILE ITACHI WAS ALIVE. And Pein didn't give two shits that Itachi was alive. Here's proof.
This here was a scene before Sasuke and Itachi even began to fight. Pein was slowed down by Jman.
Truth is Obito was simply caring out the pact. He was not afraid of Itachi. Cause if he was he could have been easily disposed of by Nagato. All madara had to do is give Pein the order and Pein himself could have ordered the rest of akatsuki to kill Itachi. Or konan, Pein and Obito could have done it together with no no difficulty. Or Pein could have killed Itachi himself.
Itachi is bad ass yess but he is not a freakin god like the fan boys make him out to be. Obito if he so choose could have had him killed if he was such a issue. Well that is all.
