Who will succeed Tsunade?

Just a thought:

People have been saying that Tsunade will die in this shinobi war so that Naruto can become Hokage.

First of all, would the Konoha shinobi choose Naruto to be Hokage? I mean, there is Shikaku, who is now the Commander for the Allied Forces - they could easily, by default, name him Hokage in the meantime. OR there is still Kakashi, whose ascent to the throne was cut short by Tsunade's re-awakening.

again, just a thought...


OR, and this is just pure, personal fanfic: Konoha could offer the job to Edo Madara so that he'll end the war and feel like *justice is served*

I'm not sure. Naruto has certainly proved himself by being called "the hero of konoha" and now he's become the hero of the war. If he's able to stop obito or madara, I guess they'll have no choice.

On a side note, Shikaku is far to weak to be a hokage. He may be brilliant at strategy, but not in actual battle.

Is it strange and stupid to assume Edo Madara. :shrug: Naruto can't because he's too young. Kakashi will be asked but will refuse. Edo Madara may become 'good' if he does become Hokage that is. oh thats because you dont know the full potential of his shadow possession jutsu. your thinking that its on his son scale. he's the smartest ninja that konoha has to offer, and one of the best. is shadow possession not only binds but seals anyone instantly. his son said it himself.

I think they would want him to be hokage, there were already murmurs of it after the Pain fight and he is probably overqualified, he has saved the village twice from invading threats, he has a good relationship with other village leaders, (he got through to the Tsuchikage, is best friends with the Kazekage and earned the the respect of the Raikage), has more than enough power, is the son of the fourth Hokage, and student of the students of the third and fourth Hokage. All that is lacking is wisdom and maturity and as long as he has people with those attributes alongside hi helping him, he can definitely be hokage.
