What happenned to the Senju?

We all know that Hashirama and the senju clan could use wood style but after all the Madara vs Hashirama nothing more is know about the senju and the only confirmed descendant of them is Tsunade who doesn't even uses wood style, so what happened to them?

The normans who invaded britain in the 12th century was a succes because they adapted the ways of the people they conquered, I have a feeling that something similar happened to the senjus - they didn't think clans and blood was everything, so they gradually dissapeared as they married withpeople from other clans etc.
The uchihas on the other hand thought blood and clans was everything, and therefor their blood would be quite pure if they still were in existence

Basically this. You lose your identity as a clan when you leave your clans homeland. They wanted unity, while the Uchiha wanted purity.

No, the only senju that used wood style was hashirama. Not even his brother, tobirama was able to use it.

kekkei genkkai comes from what? from the clan like byakugan,sharingan etc and the senju were known as"senju clan of the forest" so it was THEIR kekkei genkkai

No it was because of his affinity towards the earth and water element. He was born with mastery of two elements which led to wood style. Much like Muu and onooki which were born with 3 elemental affinities Wichita.led them to be able to use dust release. Notice how not everyone in onooki's clam can use dust release? Its the same with hashirama and his wood release.

That is more likely because hashirama was the head of the clan, and he created the forests of konoha... even though it is "only" a kekkei genkai, it was as rare as kekkei touta, after all, there is only two who have been able to use dust release, and only one wood

Too lazy to look for scans, but orochimaru said it right before he fought Naruto at the.bridge. And yamato said it when Naruto was learning to incorporate his wind affinity into his rasengan.

The only reason yamato can use it was because he was created with hashiramas DNA.

No where in the manga does it state that every senju would use wood release. If they did can you explain why tobirama couldn't use it? He was pure blood senju as well.

Being Senju has nothing to do with having Mokuton (Wood Release). Hashirama was the ONLY Senju known ever to have wood release, even though the "trait" was passed down through the younger's son bloodline. It only surfaced in Hashirama.

I believe that most (or alot) of Senju died trying to protect the land of whirlpools when it was attacked. They were bloodline allies, they HAD to have been there during the destruction of the village/country. Its probably the reason the Leaf wear their clan's logo on their clothes. The remaining Senju either went into hiding (like the remaining Uzumaki did) or married into families of the Leaf Village and thinned out the bloodline. I honestly believe clans such as the Saritobi Clan have Senju blood in them.
