Stupid Wasting Hashirama in Part 1?

You guys think it was a waste using up Hashirama (Tobirama too, I guess) in part 1 so he couldn't be brought back or smart?

Smart as in, Hashi is out of the way or stupid as in, Kishi should have thought that through a little more and brought him back later.

Hashi is all hype now and honestly, the name Hashirama didn't mean anything back then, really (to me anyway). Now we all look back and have to watch Hashi get soloed by old Hiruzen (I know I know, but still, he got soloed).

I think it would be way more interesting were Hashi to be brought back now. That pretty much goes without saying. The good guys need their own infinite zombie, too.

I think it's a retcon. Hashi was never the strongest until the plot started involving Madara more. Madara simply needed a rival and Hashi was the only suitable person. Thus, Hashi gets upgraded between parts.

My initial understanding was that Hashirama and Madara when they fought were nowhere near as powerful as the Uber-Madara you're seeing now and that over the 150 years Madara got that much more powerful to become waaay more >>> than Hashi, and that that the 3rd had surpassed Hashirama (and Madara from back then), but now Madara had become even more powerful and become the most powerful person alive. But this was back when Tobi was Madara and Hiruzen was said to be the strongest. This would still fit only if somebody was trying to make all manga character hype claims consistent, but some are unimpressed with what Hiruzen displayed and don't think that that's the sort of ability level that warrants someone who matched Madara or could match most of the highly powerful Akatsuki members. It's hard to imagine from what we've seen of Hiruzen, what he could have done to be > Hashirama and be on par with an Akatsuki, whereas from what we've seen from Edo-Madara we could easily imagine what Hashirama could do to be > Hiruzen and everyone else. Now, I'm not too sure what to think lol. For some reason, I don't think retcon cuts it because the Hashi/Madara thing doesn't look that haphazard or improvised. It's actually 1 of the things that fits a lot with most of what has happened since ages ago. There's way too much foreshadowing.

Orochimaru was controlling Hashi, he didn't use his full power...AND Oro was just trolling Hiruzen.

Hashirama had to be brought back since Orochimaru was soiling on the Hokage title. He had to be kept in mindless form because his brother created the technique, so they could have easily broken the summoning contract. Orochimaru was more careful with his use of the technique. Still, I think Orochimaru is going to break the Reaper Death Seal soon to reclaim his soul arms, and this might even give the Hokages a chance to return.

People don't understand that kishi brought him back in part one to show how the will of fire continues and how each generation surpasses the previous.

That was what I was saying. Hashirama got brought back and completely trolled but now we all know just how boss he really was. Now if he was brought back he would mess stuff up...
