Elfen Lied Question?

Alright some back info first,so about two day ago I saw this thread:

.And someone had post about Elfen lied and I got interested.So for the pass two day I have read the manga and watched the anime of Elfen Lied.

For the manga I'm up to chapter 53 and have about 50 chapters left but for the anime I'm already on episode 10 and have 3 episodes left.So I was looking on Elfen Lied wiki and it says that the manga and anime are quite different from each other,I had already released that because the manga has more detailed story,flashbacks and has more characters and the anime is so far about the present time,has more action and is less detailed story wise.

So my question is what should I continue with the manga or the anime?Because if I watch the anime first then it'll ruin the manga for me and if I read the manga first then it'll ruin the anime for me.Sorry if I seem like a troll but I'm kind of conflicted about what I should.

Thank for posting in that thread I decided to check out Elfen Lied because of your post in that thread.I've got to say both the manga and anime are amazing,I was really shocked when it showed in the manga what Lucy did to Kouta's family.All last night I couldn't sleep because of the shockingness,(it also didn't help that I saw that part at about 2 in the morning),I was both shocked,scared and disturb,yet I still want to continue the story and finish both the anime and manga.

So yet again thank for posting in that thread +rep

well i watched the anime first which was disturbing which is an understatement but the manga is up there too and kinda extends the story as well. since they are different enough i suggest you finish them both and than watch something like my little pony or something else with bright colors and rainbows in an attempt to perserve your damaged soul O_O
