The Sharingan is an instinctive attribute. Its awakening cannot be controlled anymore than a person growing hair. His two-tomoe Sharingan awakened itself because Obito was in a situation where death was a possibility. A one-tomoe Sharingan probably would not have been able to keep him from dying because he needed to see chakra (so far, we haven't seen anything from the one-tomoe). That Sharingan awakened because of Obito's instinctive need for one (and because he's uchiha). When Obito was piled under the rocks, his two-tomoe Sharingan would not have been able to save him, and neither would have a three-tomoe. So, after Kakashi and Rin leave to go kill the other guy, Obito is presented with a situation where death is a possibility, and where his current abilities won't save him. Once again, his instinctive need for a higher power kicks in, and his MS is awakened. Then, he simply phases out of the rocks. That is total BS and we all know it. Kishi failed big time with this one in my book. Also I hate the joking side of this chapter. It was full of puns and just was weird. I HATE that Madara didnt seem evil at all. I dont know why Kishi went so light hearted on this chapter but it mad me sick.

His MS didnt "kick in". I dont know what manga your reading, but MS is unlocked with extreme emotional loss, and since Obito LET Kakashi and Rin live, you cant argue that he "lost" them with his "death". Just let Kishi explain the rock thing before you call BS.

its kinda like how Obito phased through the rocks as a second nature sorta thing.

I agree that its a gaping plot hole, but the information your trying to reason with was from the latest chapter released. It would be different if this happened during the Kakashi Gaiden and was something Kishi neglected to explain, but since its still brand new and Kishi likes to take his time with explanations, its not BS until its either explained or neglected.

I could never throw in the towel im way to invested into the manga. I just hope Kishi explains it all and it makes sense. I hope he doesnt leave a ton of plot holes with this one. There is a lot of ways to do so.

Did it occur to you to read page 5 of the llatest chapter? Its clearly stated that madara found obito lying in the passage, so no he didnt save him from the rocks. Read the manga before calling bs on others.

I don't know why his lair has to be directly under the rock.....madara can't leave his lair but it sounds to me like people think its a small cave of a lair..madara did say he heard noise and went to check it out, indicating he was at least so far away he couldn't see it only hear it....his lair could be pretty darn big . Of coarse it is coincidental that it was by/near/in his lair that obito was, but throw kishi some slack u don't argue when movies have big coincidences they happen cuz they need to for the story at least it is believeable however "unlikely" and that's all kishi needs for it to be believeable. Kishi can put madara's lair wherever the fvck he wants.
