A question about Itachi's Susano'o

Well It's been known for some time now that Itachi's susano'o has the Sword of Totsuka and the Yata Mirror. But my question is, is it ever explained through out the manga how Itachi got his hands on these weapons. I'm open to all kinds of Opinions and Theories, Cause i don't recall them ever explain these weapons such as who Wielded it first, but even if someone did wield it first the question still remains.
How did Itachi get the SoT and Y.M. ( Idk, maybe i'm over thinking this, but please tell me your opinions.)
