dude no one is saying they cant, but say another ninja war breaks out?? i mean when you are on the battlefield shit happens dude, it is very plausible that the could get seperated, and ok ya sure they may be able to know smell and hear each other but that would change the fact that there are 20 shinobi in between them, and akamaru cant perform jutsu by himself so wouldnt it be nice if kiba could just summon him to where he is??

cause what if like akamura gets lost and he could just summon him back to be next to him. =P

its well explained in the anime series:

summons: most of the summons can talk and has an experience of its own battles - usually summons were legendary animals in narutoverse who possesses great jutsus; users should have a blood pact for them to be called...

ex.

3rd hokage = enma
tsunade = katsuyu
orochimaru = snake
kakashi = pakkun & friends
itachi = susano (i believe this is the most powerful summon even to banish oro's hydras in everlasting genjutsu)
jiraiya = toads (jiraiya and naruto has the most summons among the konoha ninjas; for me the second powerful)

ninja tool: many tools are available for a ninja, like akamaru (please see the chuunin exam chapters; even some animals were considered a ninja tool)

kiba = akamaru
shino = insects

kakashi's dogs arent legendary animals tho, its said in the manga that he raised them himself, his dogs are entirely different than summons like the toads, slugs, monkeys, and snakes. and kakashi's dogs never trained him and they havent lived a long time like pa toad

i know that but like the toads are located in the mountains and they can be summoned, i was just seeing if akamura could be summoned, just a curiousity of mines =)

nope - maybe they'll soon have a bonding technique to be together once separated but again, akamaru will stay as a ninja tool not a legendary summon...

something doesnt have to be legendary to summon, case in point sasuke and ten-ten summoning weapons, which are ninja tools, just like akamaru so he could be summoned

alryt...just to put it shortly, can akamaru talk? so far all summon animals in narutoverse has this ability, well maybe kiba can send akamaru to an english class for him not to howl jap everytime...

besides what chapter did it say that kakashi raised his dogs; i believe they were called legendary ninja dogs as well...anyway just want to know what chapter bro, i think i skipped on that part - regarding the training; what im trying to say is that all this summons have awesome jutsus and the likes; unlike akamaru who only knows certain techniques which were practiced and honed with kiba...

no but thats not wat the original thread question was about, it was about whether or not kiba has a summoning tech for if he and akamaru got seperated. im not saying it has to be kuchiyose no jutsu, im just saying that his family has probably developed a technique that allows them to summon their dogs to them if they were to get seperated on the battlefield ya know??
