But seriously I am getting pretty tired of these "Gedo Mazou actually belonged to Hashirama" threads. To answer your question, no, the gedo mazo did not belong to Hashirama. If you really wanna know what happened in the fight between hashi and madara, look on youtube. The fight was shown in one of the Naurto:UNS games (i believe it was Generations) and is considered cannon. Hashirama was able to control the bijuus because of these three reasons:
1) He was/is the strongest ninja to ever live, not counting the SO6P
2) His wood element jutsu
3) His necklace, which was able to restrain the beast's powers.
As for where he kept them, he probably just used his wood jutsu to keep the restrained somewhere. His wood justsu was so strong that it's not beyond the realm of possibility.
Edit:Also, I forgot to mention that it's called the Demonic Statue
Of The Outer Path, which is the last "path" ability granted by the rinnegan. Please think before you make these posts :/
