No, I am not Muslim, nor am I religious in particular, so no, I guess I won't and can't understand what this means to you.

However, I can understand what it means to have something you care.deeply for insulted, and from what I just read about the incident, it was indeed an attack. I suppose we do see it in a similar, yet different way.

While I, just like you, believe that someone should defend what they believe in when it is attacked, we share different views on how it should be done.

I do believe it's an overreaction. While being angry and wanting to do something about it is completely justified in my eyes, there are ways it should be done and ways it shouldn't. Protesting like this is too much, there are more civilized ways to handle this. After all, Muslims are supposed to be peaceful. Shouting "Death to America" doesn't sound so peaceful to me.

im saying the same thing. we are not reacting but reacting in a wrong way. Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is someone that we really love. We love him to a limit that even a 'Muslim with least faith, who does not practice Islam would stand up and give his life for him if ever needed. But that does not justify killing of the ambassador or damaging your own country or blaming the whole America for it.

Well, there's plenty of people that are considering this hate speech; and there are plenty who consider the other things to be freedom of speech just like this incident. Me personally, I stand for freedom of speech all around, as long as it doesn't go too far, nobody should get offended at anything. There is a point though where it steps out of line, but the only course of action necessary is they simply need to be told to back off a bit. No one needs to be dying over it. U_U

when you attack black people its a hate crime and racist, it is also racist if you talk against them but its not an attack, but noone blows up several embassies

if you talk against jewish people its antisemitic yes but again, noone blows things up

when you talk against women its sexist yes, but noone blows things up

when you talk against homosexuality its called homophobia, BUT NOONE BLOWS THINGS UP

when you talk against a religious group its called hate speech, but most of the time noone blows things up

if you ATTACK any of them YOU ARE PUNISHED, however if your tell your opinion which you do not force on anyone ppl might not like you and say something back but you arent punished AND THEY DONT BLOW THINGS UP

you cant attack prophet Muhammad seeing how 6B ppl doent believe he is who he is said to be, also hes been dead for a looooooong time, however if you talk against him YES IT IS FREEDOM OF SPEECH and just as in the cases above noone can take that away from you, yet ppl go and blow things up

even in cases of attack (... -.-') it would be very different if one attacked ... say ... a woman (an actual living person) and harm them than a figure that most of the population dont accept for what he is suppost to be

What if americans went out and attacked every muslim they could find every time a muslim said death to america. What if Jews killed every muslim they could find every time a muslim called a jew an infidel or heretic. It doesn't happen. But one american insults muslims and millions of muslims go and attack every american they can find. The ironic part of it is almost nobody even knew that video about muhammed existed until it gained international attention because of how they reacted to it. Now thanks to there pointless rage half the world has seen the video rather than the few thousand people who had seen it before. That and the video was made 2 years ago and they just found out about it now.
