Ichigos bankai SUCKS

Really, all we have from Ichigo is generic sword slashes and some speed, which the speed to be fair is cool.

Yama on the other hand... a sword that destroys anything it cuts and the sun enveloping his body basiclly and now we have freaking dead fighting for him.


The main character is really out shined by Yama... hopefully Ichigo gets something cool soon like showing his hollow again.

I know, but that is just boring compared to being a fire god lol if he gets more hollow like powers it would be awesome.

ichigo's shikai is boring
i'd say without a hollow, ichigo's would be ikkaku's level, or renji's level

Why compare only Ichigo's you seem a little bias and of course his Bankai is going to look more badass since he's had over a 1000 years to train it Ichigo hasn't even had a 1 year and his Bankai is on the level with captains give Ichigo a 1000 years and then let's see what his Bankai is like.

P.S. What else would you want in a fight over than increased speed and strength...think boy.

you are forgetting urahara, kyoraku, ukitake, unohana, isshin and yoruichi.
no one cares about yoruichi but every shinigami has a zanpakuto and aside from kenoachi every captain has a bankai.
yoruichi is on par with kisuke without using her zanpakuto. now think what would happen if she would use bankai?

You have to understand that yamamoto has been perfecting his shikai and bankai for one thousand years. Ichigo is only a teenager so of course the old man's will be better.

Sometimes i think i switched only due to those.

I don't ever recall reading that ichigos bankai was suppose to be the strongest or best in the soul society. The most unusual maybe you could even say unique because of how it condenses ichigos power.

Plus Yama-Jii has always been considered the strongest in all of soul society with the strongest fire based zanpakutou in existence. It makes sense that his bankai would be totally insane and something we haven't seen before.

Ichigo may be the hope but Yama-Jii is the badass

My top three bankai as of currently are Yamamoto, kensei MUGURUMA and Soi fon.

Unknown bankai that will be my top three will be shinji Hirako his Sakanade was extreme his bankai wil be unique
Also rose or rojuro otoribashi Kinshara was only seen briefly and also had unique ability's but were not fully shown so his bankai will be on a much larger scale like a net. Last is kisuke uraharra's benihime nuff said.

And so what? No where in the manga does it state Ichigo is mean't to be the strongest shinigami. In fact the manga only states Yama is the most powerful shinigami born in thousands of years.

If you read the descriptions of a Shikai and Bankai, you'll see that the zanpakuto's abilities fit perfectly. For example Tensa Zangetsu basically means "Heaven Chain Slaying Moon". Ichigo uses Getsuga Tensho which roughly translates into "Moon Fang Heaven-Piercer". And then when you couple that with the fact that Ichigo's bankai is based around speed then it makes Getsuga Tensho even more effective.

Yama's shikai is "Reduce All Creation to Ash", and that's exactly what his flames do. Yama's zanpakuto is mean't to be more flashy.
