This chapter cleared the theory of the original Madara fighting Minato instead of Obito at the time of Naruto's birth. As we can all see,those jumper cables on his back are keeping Madara alive also making him unable to leave the place.

It was just a popular theory after Tobi's identity was finaly revealed. I believe many consider Obito going head to head with Minato the biggest plot hence the theory of the original Madara fighting Minato.

Why would the Obito-Minato match be thought of as a plot hole? Count the years.. Minato, a kage in his prime battling a younger Obito who they thought of as Madara.. their ages actually fit.

But Tobi seemed surprised with Minato's S/T techiniques and underestimated him aswell... It's odd that as his student Obito didn't know it

The years do not fit.
There was but one year difference from Obito's ''death'' and the Minato vs Tobi fight.
So far it is a plothole that has'nt got explained.
