How was Kabuto able to achieve DSM?

I thought it was stated that to learn SM, you need to have a huge quantity of chakra in base like Jiraya or Naruto? And so far, Kabuto didn't seemed to have a great quantity of chakra. If i remember correct, he only has 3 in chakra in the databook. So how?:shrug:

He absorbed Nature chakra from implanted DNA of Oro, Suigetsu, Karin, and Jugo each had abilities with chakra that involved nature; Snakes, Water, Animal Instincts, Life Force. Then he learned DSM which I still don't know the upsides of DSM versus normal SM maybe its different between what summoning animal you get it from and the snakes hold the closest nature to Dragons... so there Dragon related abilities.
