I thought Rinne tensei revived you to the state you was before your death. Also, I thought Rinne tensei had a time limit in which It could be used to resurrect the dead.

Therefore, I thought that if Madara would have been resurrected this way he would be very old and weak. Why would Madara want this? Wouldn't he prefer being Resurrected with Edo tensei? He seems to know alot about it so he should know that he could be Resurrected in his prime through edo.
Thoughts?
couple of things,
1) it was never stated that rinne tensei had a time limit, when nagato mentioned he still has time to revive konoha he was referering to his weakned state with little chakra. Fans assumed he meant the jutsu itself had a time limit, we still dont know the whole story but with madara we know it hasnt got a time limit.
2) Madara didnt know that edo tensei users were still around that would summon him, i think orocihmaru knew madara would know and didnt use the summon due to the risk of madara breaking free from it. So he was surpirsed he revied with a edo tensei jutsu. He basiclly didnt see it coming. Never the less here we are.
3) edo tensei is the jutsu that revives you in the state u were in when u died, ir just like nagato. I assume in madara's case this comes back to the statement made kabuto regarding this edo tensei madara. He said he revied madara in a state better than his prime. THis means using more hasihrama dna madara regained his youth simulat to how nagato regained his youth self after he absorbed the 8tails chakra.
4) rinne tensei as we know it is a flat out revive jutsu, simple as that, revived in ur original state of death like edo tensei.
What is intresting about rinee tensei u dont have to sacrfice anything to revive the dead unlike edo tensei. Quite a overpowered jutsiu on that fact alone. Until we know more thats the story about all the things u brought up in ur post.
