Chapter 11 – Tearful Note
It’s the morning the day after the fight with the lieutenant and sergeants, and the birds twitters around the town.
Alice: I-I-I can’t go out looking like this!
The nervous voice and Skylar's laugh is heard all around the hotel room.
Skylar: It’s nothing to be embarrassed about! Show them all what you really look like!
He gives her a last push before she walks out of the bathroom. Luke and Sarah are outside waiting patiently for Alice.
She has taken a bath, so all the dirt and sweat from her body has been washed away. Her old dirty, worn out clothes is gone, and she is now using some of Sarah’s clothes.
Sarah: w-wow…
Luke’s only reaction is a smile.
Alice blushes from the reactions, and hides behind Skylar back.
-The scene switches to a bit outside the village an hour later-
Skylar: Alright, we’re going to Lisfro now! It was really nice meeting you hotel owner, and homeless girl…
Skylar have bandages on his left arm and around his head after the fight with the lieutenant. He doesn’t seem to be bothered by it though.
Luke: They have names you know.
Alice looks at the ground as she usually do, knowing she’s going to miss them.
(Skylar: We’ll be in this town a little while, so just come to us if you need any help, alright?)
Alice: Erm… I-
Everyone looks at her confused, waiting for her to speak up.
(Skylar: What's with that look? You should smile you know!)
Alice: Eeerm… I want- I want to-
(Skylar: Heh, we Milit have to stand up for each other you know!)
Alice: I-I want to join your cowboy group!
Both Luke and Sarah look at her in shock.
Luke: Y-you want to join? Really?
Alice: I-if I’m not a bother…
Skylar smiles and laughs, and starts walking away from the town.
Skylar: Alright, member number 3! Let’s go to Lisfro!
Alice shows a big smile on her face, like it’s her first time being accepted.
Luke and Alice smiles at Skylar and starts walking with him. They wave goodbye to Sarah, and she waves back.
Sarah: Well, I think I have to start repairing the hotel now…
She walks off towards the hotel. The town is full of life again, and the sound of people selling and buying good can be heard a long distance away.
Sarah enters the hotel, and immediately walks upstairs to the room Skylar and the others slept at.
Sarah: I never got to apologize to her…
She suddenly notices a note on the door when she enters the room. She takes a look at it without hesitation.
Sarah: From Alice? I didn’t know she could write
Note: Dear Sarah
I’ve probably left by now, haven’t I? I realized it’s time to make my mother’s dream… my dream come true… I’m going to prove to the world that Milits aren’t different…
I was really sad when we couldn’t see each other anymore after the incident with my parents, but I know it wasn’t your fault. I know you couldn’t help me in any way. You are still a dear friend of mine. I’ll be thinking of you on the road with Skylar and Luke. I love you.

Tears fall down on the note which is the only sound in the room.
Sarah: Damn it, making me cry in the last minute… (I'm going to miss you too, Alice...)
